Heck, look at Adrian Gonzalez, he didn't even finish the season with Boston.
A curse? Gonzalez went from a dysfunctional Red Sox team to an incredibly talented Los Angeles Dodgers team in his home state of California. The cover might be good luck!

Yeah, because nothing says overrated like a 7.0 WAR.

On another note, I'm surprised by how mad some people are at the results of this vote. I thought it was just supposed to be a light-hearted contest. Does it really matter who's face is on a cover that you're only going to see for however long of a time it takes for you to take the packaging off of and open?

When is the last time the Pirates had something this prominent for the ballclub and while they all seem like good guys, McCutchen just seems like the guy who would live next door to you and he'd throw the ball around with the kids in the neighborhood.
now I'm gettin' sappy...

McCutchen may play catch with the neighbor kids, but I bet Miggy would enjoy scotch & cigars on my deck

You're making your own cover because you don't like who's on the box of a baseball game, something that literally has no affect on anything.

Yes, we're the lame ones.....

Btw, you're going to be REALLY disappointed I guess when you have to see him every time you start the game up. Maybe just pass on this year's version?

So since Cutch is on the cover, will any work be done so that he has the tied back dreads for his hair style?

It's good to see a rising star on a small market team like the Pirates get recognition. Cutch got my vote, and I'm a Cubs fan.

Wow!!!! This is amazing. Congrats Cutch.

Maybe this curse will actually cause a temporal rift with the current Sid Bream curse thus nullifying both curses at once.

I'm calling it.....Pirates over 500 this season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There will not be a collapse at season's end this time around.

Seeing how he was getting so many votes, I ended up not voting for Andrew Metuchen... (voted for Posey instead)...

I'm happy someone won it for a small-market team with such a history though.
