Did Posey always have name on back of batting helmet??

Yes, the Giants have always had names on the batting helmets.

Mets too, on the bill.

Ugh, going to be a tough choice. It will either be Cabrera or Cutch for me. Anyone have a coin?

I noticed some updates to Citifield like the "KID 8" on the outfield wall and a brief glimpse of the HD display board near the right field seats. Very nice.

My vote comes down to Cutch or Posey.

That "KID 8" on the left-center wall looks pretty cool!

This is probably something no one is going to care about, but I noticed some of the same player portraits from the previous two games. It's not that big of a deal, but feel a bit underwhelmed.

I'm a little surprised that there aren't even number of AL to NL players to vote for. Just 2 AL and 5 NL players on the ballot. Would have liked to see Trout as a candidate

I think a lot people don't like him. I sure don't care for him much. Probably would only get votes from the Angels fans. VOTE CUTCH!

That may be true but then why is Harper a candidate? I think he's the absolute biggest jerk in baseball period.

How bad can a... man of his upbringing... really be?

I think Sabathia is the biggest question mark on this list, even though it's nice to have a pitcher.

You should not necessarily equate the year an athlete had to his inclusion in the contest. The year they had statistically is only a portion of the factors we looked at when selecting players.

I'm not, no need to worry. I'm merely giving tvman another out instead of just digging on Harper for supposedly "being a jerk."

It's all relative, anyway. Sabathia would be great on a cover, as would Harper. They both are very well known and are representative of the MLB. I merely said he's my [relatively] biggest question mark.

Russell, were there any players (obviously, without mentioning names) that you guys contacted that weren't interested?

I'm not going to talk about that for obvious reasons

Not sure how defense ties into a video game cover

I don't think of covers as a 'who is better' type of thing. I don't agree with him saying Posey should be on because he's more well rounded

Nobody will argue that Posey is as round as Cabrera.

There's no way I'm voting for Harper, and as a Mets fan I can't bring myself to support any member of the SF Giants. Sabathia just doesn't interest me in the least.

I don't dislike Cabrera, but I remember his antics back when he was a Marlin, and so he's definitely not my favorite of the group.

So I guess it's between Matt Kemp and Andrew McCutchen. I like the Dodgers and Kemp is one of my favorite players, but honestly he's only been good for what, 1.5 years? McCutchen has been busting his tail for as long as I can remember, and for that, I think I'm gonna give my vote to him. I'm not quite sure though. I really like Kemp... I mean, the guy dated Rihanna. Rihanna!!!!
