Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 News Post

Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 patch 1.03 is available now for 360, PS3 and PC. Check out all the details below and after a few matches, let us know what you're seeing.
  • New multiplayer game mode in Online Community

Our developers tried to offer a different experience in the online 2v2 matches on our Online Community mode, however it was not what our fans expected. Thanks to all your feedback we are implementing the option to allow our fans to switch players during the 2v2 (and 4v4) Community matches!

  • All new goal celebrations and improved player movements

To add more flare and excitement to the game, we bring you a new set of celebrations inspired by real players in real matches! Select players in the game will have new ways to celebrate their goals, which will allow you to show off in front of your friends and also continues to build our Player ID feature. We have also tweaked our AI to allow more fluid and intuitive player movements to improve your game experience.

  • Better offside calls from our referees

Our fans have provided us with constant feedback, and were not completely satisfied with how our referees acted on several offside situations. So new tweaks have been included in the patch to help improve the realism and flow of your matches.

  • PES Total Player to be included in the Patch

PES 2013 has made history by including for the first time ever a real life fan as a player in our game. After winning the "Enter the Game" event in Madrid, Edu Morillo will be introduced into PES 2013 with his own Player ID and even a special celebration!

  • Better Goalkeeper performance

As requested by our fans we have improved the performance of our Goalkeepers, especially for those with a rating over 70.

  • General issues fixed

Several issues in the game have been fixed to improve your overall game experience. These fixed include a matchmaking MLO issue occurring when a guest user was logged in, a better myPES communication and accessibility, several Online Pass issues, COM controlled substitution issues in Community matches and many more!

Fantastic patch.
The ball is more lively and unpredictable, animations are noticeably better, goalkeepers are improved and realistic. Great job by Konami...

After playing PES with 1.03, FIFA really looks like a soccer version of NBA Jam...

Also, great DLC, lots of new boots and updated lineups.

Nice. Can't wait to give it a go later on today.

Now if they could just make the CPU less direct, more willing to hang on to possession, and not constantly interested in either dribbling forward or through balling around defenders at all costs, I'd be more excited. I hate that I'm pretty much guaranteed 55-60% possession every single game, regardless of the final score or the ability levels of both teams.

Sounds good, I'll be starting a new Master League once I download the patch. You know, I was getting ready to give up on PES after how frustrating 1.01 was, tried going back to FIFA, man, the animations, the game speed, and gameplay in general was just...jarring. Glad Konami fixed those issues with 1.03.

yes it is,the ball travel more realistic,
especially if you use default konami pes 2013 ball and pitch cam.
less direct pressure from CPU, now they actually shading the ball handler and play smart.
R2 stop and go work really well.
more responsive control.
perfect game speed on 0 hope they don't change it anymore.

it's feel like demo 1 with more tactical fouls and smooth animation.
goal keeper looks improved.
just needed to tweak CPU offense to take the possession more.

thank you KONAMI.
now just perfect time to start ML.

Exciting stuff. Can't wait to test it. Does anyone know if you have to restart ML?

Keepers are still incredibly weak. The main thing I notice now is their inability to deal with soft finesse/controlled shots from well outside the 18 yard box. They don't seem to realize that a shot is coming towards them until it's 4-5 feet from goal.

100% agreed. They parry the weakest shots and always right into a charging attacker. Some of the animations are solid (the double saves) but some are incredibly slow.

Yeah I love the game but that is horribly frustrating. FIFA has superhuman goalies while PES has these ridiculously slow ones. Was playing a Copa Libertadores match and there was a very slow ground shot from outside the box that the goalie reacted to like a complete idiot. Rage quitted that crap lol.
