Add Kemp and McCutchen too:

You sound like a Trout fan.
I'll try and break it to you gently....
He's a jackass.
(great player, but a jackass)

I thought that was common knowledge already? But hey, better he be a douche than a racist, a wifebeater, or something of that nature right?

Maybe so....but also... when you run a business and want to put someone front and center on your product....I'm gonna guess that young and jackass are not the reassuring combination you are looking for.
(not that old and jackass are any better!)

I guess I kind of misread your post.
I thought you were saying it as "Trout ...nothing" from your perspective, but I guess you meant as in "Trout..nothing" from a searching perspective.
Sorry!

I know there was one guy screaming east coast bias and calling for Trout in a thread.
I guess it wasn't you!

AAAANYWAYS, CC Sabathia not really all that great and seems to be declining. but since hes in the biggest market I could see him winning due to what team he plays for unfortunately.
Actually Harper was a really nice guy when I got his autograph in Milwaukee.

You have to remember also some players are not interested in being a cover athlete or do not play video games. Some don't want to offer up the time necessary to be a cover athlete.

That's what I've heard too, he's a different guy off the field. The 19U summer team I was on a couple of years ago played against Harper in a tournament the year before and the guys who were still on the team said the same thing.

The problem is that guys are confusing "cover of the game" with "MVP award."

This "honor" has far more to do with personality and marketability as it does with their most recent performance. Josh Hamilton could break half the records in the book but I'd bet good money he won't be on the cover of any game, any time soon.

Haven't seen a pitcher on The Show in ever. Would be nice to see one, but I don't know if Sabathia should be the guy (two years ago this would have been a different story).

I wonder who the other three are. Any west coast love, perhaps?

Have you met Trout? I have met him MANY times and he is the definition of a class act. Always so friendly and is great to his fans. I have had WAY worse experiences with Cabrera and Posey!

Serious question... what has he done that makes him a jackass? I've literally only seen him play, and heard him on interviews, where he sounds fine.

He's 20, with millions, and a ton of talent, so it's not like it would surprise me, but just curious.

Harper cursed me out when I asked him for an autograph in Vegas. I was him yell at a 9 year old too. But I have seen Bryce be nice on some YouTube videos so pry just when you see him.

It think the cover star should be Knuckleball king R.A.Dickey!
Praying for Europe support of this game, coming from England, had to create a US PS account just to try the online side of this game, which played horrid sadly. Wish I could just buy it in the U.K, still don't understand how a game this good doesn't get a release over here, even if just digital download.

Most professional athletes are very cocky. That's no secret. Read my story about BP. I would prefer not to meet another one. About all of them I have met has bee arrogant. That's part of what makes them successful.

Don't let them scare you nemesis, there's no such thing as a "west coast."
