Can't come soon enough. 2 weeks ago I finally made it to the 3 point shootout after 5 seasons of my player. The game freezes right before the load screen and I can sim over it. I loaded the 3 pt SO straight from the All-Star mode and it worked just fine. Still though, the game always freezes up when I try on MyCareer.

Pre-paid for 2k13.

Yeah That just silly, I think people just do stuff because they are in a position of power. Doesn't make sense but they do it anyway. I'm just not a fan of their marketing strategies.

This isn't a power move. Its about accurately relaying the information. If they have to pull something out of the patch they'd rather have not reported it up front. The final go ahead isn't in 2k's hands.

Once they get confirmation that everything submitted is good to go they'll report accurately on what's included.

This has very little to do with marketing ploys other than accurately reporting what the consumer will actually get.

Also, allow us to remove signature skills! I do not like the boost Deron Williams gives to players like Joe Johnson especially. In real life, Joe Johnson is in a slump. He even had a rating decrease in the latest roster update. Nobody should be shooting better than their rating with Deron Williams on the floor. Let the players play to their ratings.
I agree!

I hope 2K added 2/3 different collision animations that utilize weight, height, and size.

2K put in sig skills but they should also implemented slumps for the shooting skills. If that player has dead eye or 4th but is cold or being doubled and missing shots, it should reduce that skill by a few points.

This...there was a time when M$ rejected the patch for being to big and it had to be reworked. I can wait for the patch notes to be released...

Could you imagine the crapstorm of whining about "________ isn't in the patch, it was in the patch notes!! Why isn't it in the patch!?" from the same users who are crying about patch notes right now.

They have to wait and see what MS allows them to keep or forces them to remove from the original patch just like us. Like Goffs said there was a patch rejected for being too big.

I really hope M$ takes sports games in consideration with there Nex Gen patching policy because these games only have so much shelf life and a 1 to 2 week wait on there part is just another 2 weeks wasted of the purchase.

And even worse its forcing Devs to ignore immediate big issues so they can try to squeeze it into one patch

I thought I already answered this for you on page 2?

Keeping complaining about it isn't going to have the notes released any earlier.

It's not just MS, it's Sony too.

Would you prefer to MS and Sony perform a rush job for you and take the chance that your system corrupts because of a hurried patch.

Then what?

I just wish 2k would stream the patch(s) directly to us like the update art and shoes; then they could release fixes as they come online and are ready to go live, instead of the traditional patch wait.

I thought 2k was heading in this direction but their initiative seems to have stalled.

All of this bull about "people gonna whine when something is not in when it was in the notes" is garbage.

A simple disclaimer saying that patch notes are subject to change... yada, yada, yada would do perfectly fine.

MS does not decide what is to go into or out of the patch, all they do is test it to make sure it doesn't crash, etc.

2k is the only one putting in anything into the patch. They may have to change some things if it gets rejected for whatever reasons, but MS does not force anything into/out of the patch just cause.

Asking why the patch notes have to wait until the patch drops is not a complaint it is a simple question, 2k can answer or they don't have to, either way its not gonna bother me. Isn't "if you ain't got nothing to hide, why worry about it" the new American motto?

So sorry that I am trying to find out what issues are being addressed in the patch.

Didn't know that you were working both 2k and MS offices. Sorry.

I think you might have complaints/questions mixed up.
Complaint: 2k, x player dunking on y player 2 much, omg, y 2k, fix this **** omg.
Question: Is there any specific reason why the patch notes have to wait until the patch drops?

Its not like the notes coming for the patch is something that's never been done before.

This patch will affect online association right?

We can only guess right now, it would be logical to assume that it will.

This isn't just a 2k only deal.

It happens with Madden, NHL and FIFA as well.

Ok, it appears you are overly concerned about the release of the patch notes because you keep asking questions about it.

Based on other sports games patches, I'm sure 2k will release the patch notes once the patch is certified and what Ronnie stated a week ago.

That's been my experience.

I've only heard of MS charging for patches and such and am not familiar with Sonys process but either way if sony does it too I hope they also reevaluate the process as well

I have no problem with MS and Sony looking over the patches all I'm saying is they should make accommodations such a review process specific for sports games due to the short life spans and the dearth of day one bugs these type of games have rather than lump them in with the rest of the games awaiting a go over.

I just feel sports games or even yearly titles should be given an expiated review is all. Much like EA quickly had fixes for Madden online but we had to wait for the review process for offline and Im sure EA tried to hold off on fixing issues in the immediate so they would only have to pay the fee to MS and possibly Sony once

JWill55 trust me its better not to release them now because the immaturity of some on here would get this thread closed. I would love to know just as bad as you and others but its best just to wait imo. Don't believe me? Wait till this patch drops and then watch how childish this thread becomes.
