*Notes for new update:

It looks like we have found out that the 2Kinsider’s previous excuse of not being able to add unguaranteed contracts due to legal matters has now been confirmed false. He added 3 unguaranteed contract players in this update, along with only updated players who have real CF on the disc with downloaded generic CAPS instead.Couple that with the fact that although he added a decent amount of players in this update along with Jerseys additions, he still failed to properly add in the remaining guaranteed contract players. He has also failed to update positions correctly as many are still not positioned correctly (*see below for list). He also has not correctly set lineups as for example “Amare Stoudemire is still ACTIVE despite being out for weeks.

Quit hating on Melo, I don't care what the stats say he is a superstar. He shouldn't have been downgraded in the 1st place.

At this rate, I hope my Christmas present is correct rosters....

Not using 2 players real CF and opting for generic CAP's makes 0 sense. Also, the disregard to the simplest of accessories (Headbands) for top players in the league is ridiculous. Simply remove Deron Williams' and add Dwight's. Not to mention the rotation (especially the Knicks) being completely out of whack for online.

Lol there is no hate on Melo. One of the problems with the game now is that there are so many guys rated higher than they should be. Then you have some people who want to just blindly throw ratings at a guy and say oh he has to be 90 plus without even looking at or understanding how those ratings come about. The facts are last season Melo as an offensive player had the worst season he has had since his first two years in the league. He has never been a defensive player so his offense is what drives his rating. There is no reason for a guy to play worse than previous years and yet still keep the same rating or improve.

But to the point at hand i posted because we have a guy here constantly complaining about Melo needing an offensive boost with a single point of logic as to why. When one is given as to why he doesn't need one( like him only playing six games or his numbers not improving) there is nothing said. The he asked a specific question about why one guys has a higher rating than the other. I simply gave an answer as to why Jefferson's offensive rating could be higher than Melo's. So now all of a sudden I give a logic filled and unbiased answer to a question and I'm a hating on the guy??

..let's not forget the sig skills and Melo STILL PLAYS LIKE MELO.

# 29 gator3guy @ 11/17/12 04:29 PM
Yeah Melo is almost unstoppable in this game. Not Rudy Gay unstoppable, but you get the point.

So add Dwight's headband after 3 games? Haha... I'm sorry but that's just a phase, he'll lose the headband soon.

Yet rookie of the year Kyrie Irving has zero accessories.

Not only that but Jefferson also had the higher offensive rating and more offensive win shares. Clearly this is one that 2K got right.

You keep yelling about Melo getting a raise but when logic is posted to tell you why he doesn't deserve one you have no response.
Bingo. Facts have been stated here ^^

I tweeted to Ronnie2k. No response and he hasn't been on Twitter for over 5 hours. So for us PS3 users, it could be a while...

melo doesnt deserve a raise for being rated a 92 after an offseason. and then gets lowered to 89? for no reason. Leads his team to 6 and 1 in the east. He is also an mvp candidate. top 3 to be exact. even if yu throw out numbers like how hes shooting 43 percent. the least you could say is that he was better than last year which gave him his 89 rating correct?? theres your reason. you want more? knicks were expected to be 6th seed. he is leading them. He is also playing better on the defensive end. there are things that dont appear on stats such as being unselfish.. yu can throw assists out but even tho melo is lower in assists he is playing way more UNSELFISHLY. than last year. so yea. if yu need more reasons just let me know and i will be glad. And about the positions comment. melo is an 89 at sf Kd is 94. while many say kd is better which is ok. is he really 5 points better. and if he is then that means Igoudala who is an 87 is only 2 points lower than melo? is he that close to him. ill let you think about that

# 37 Blackhail92 @ 11/17/12 05:44 PM
also if yu want me to stop about talkin about melo fine. ill give yu something else to defend. why someone like landry fields who shot HORRRID from the 3(25 percent to be exact) point line has a a sevennty something 3? can you give me some facts about that? or why amare's defense is higher than Melo's defense as well as KD's and Hardens? Do you want to point to the fact that Amare avgs nore blocks then KD? but according to stats KD averages more blocks and steals then amare? so why is this also? lol. Lik i said. you cen only say why melo shouldnt be this and that. but i can say that for virtually any player in the league besides lebron.

That's why he's a touch lower than some of the other superstars. But, his offensive ratings are amongst the highest in the league.
I agree. But my only problem wasnt that melo was rated a 89. it was that he was a 92 at the start of the game. then lowered to 89 for no reason. then when he does all the things i listed earlier people still feel he should be a 89. if he started out as an 89 i would have no problems. and wouldnt have much of an argument. u can say melo had an off year all that jazz. but THEY rated him a 92 then lowered him for no reason. now he gives them a reason to raise him. and hes not. thats my point. BTW i never even said he should be put back to a 92. I just said he should be raised
