I'm not sure if these fixes will help any of two problems I encountered, hopefully someone can answer whether or not they will.
1: Offered a player a new contract in CM when he had 6 months left on his contract, he accepted the 3 year offer and at the end of the season his contract length was -2 Years 6 Months. He ended up leaving and became a free agent I couldn't negotiate with.
2: Players that start in a season long loan when CM is started did not return to start season 2 with my club. I'm still forced to pay to bring them back.

Again, any insight on whether this update will help them or if there are other workarounds are appreciated.

"Stability in Career Mode when players retire or are being bought back from loan."

I would think that they might be referring to players coming back in Season 2 re: that bullet. Just a guess.

They need to patch it so people can make extremely short players in the Pro Clubs mode. It's a glitch to start off with a fast player.

They need to patch the CPU players on your team not having a pulse.

While most of these fixes don't really affect me that much, I am pretty excited to have Napoli fully licensed. I've been thinking about doing a career mode with them but I was holding out until they got fully licensed once again, so now I can start it!

This Sh-- can't come fast enough. I've been sitting here trying to connect to a match for the last 30 minutes and I keep getting connection was lost.

Is this releasing today???

Nice to finally see the Napoli update, and the fix for the retiring and loaned out players. As a bonus the FIFA team also announced another patch for later this month. Pretty nice!

I played a few Career mode games where the soccer ball is not present on the field. SMH

I don't think EA has ever patched FIFA gameplay.

I was really hoping for referees making more foul calls. The animations are there. They're beautiful. But the calls just don't come.

Make sure to always use a strict referee.

Even in CM?

Yeah, how can one select a so-called "strict" referee?

I agree, Krebstar. It's incredibly disheartening. I actually tend to get calls made against me quite a bit, but the CPU hacks the %$#@ out of me with no calls.

sometimes i wonder if im playing a different game. i usually get a yellow card on the cpu every game as well as a couple fouls. i dont take alot of chances on defense so i see a yellow card maybe every third game, most games are 3-4 fouls on me. mostly from aerial collisions.

i know thats still not a realistic number but i find it pretty consistant. im sure if i played longer halves it would be more realistic.

I know in "Kick Off" for sure you can choose your referee in the settings, and it shows their level of strictness on the bottom of the screen. Which usually helps. When you see someone tumble over from a collision, it'll usually be called.

I didn't think you could do it in CM, but I will check.

EDIT: As expected, you can not change the referee in career mode.

There may be a secret to getting fouled and my suspicion is that it has to do with dribbling and using special moves.

I almost *never* use dribbling moves. If my attacking player has no space, I pass the ball.

Perhaps if I tried to do a rainbow into a blanco ronaldo chop reverse stepover FATALITY, I'd get fouled more often.
