It's weird that they added Mickell Gladness to the Heat but didn't add Terrell Harris who was on the team all year last season and even got a few minutes at the end of game 5. He also has much better chance of making the team than Gladness.
For the most part, I'm liking this update. Obviously, there are still more players to add, but it's a good start. Nice to see that they adjusted a lot of players down (Dwight/Melo!- and don't worry Knicks fans, he'll still be dominant offensively. The fact is he's not all-time elite player that will win you a championship on his own the way a 92 rating would suggest). The ratings did seem a little inflated for some players.
However, as others have said, the low-rated role players continue to get the shaft and probably won't get adjusted until a couple months into the season. And there's still the weird low MED RANGE shooting rankings for great shooters with high 3PT ratings (Harden has MED: 67; 3PT: 86).
And, I'm pretty sure Korver went down. Can anyone confirm? His 3PT is now 89; not sure what it was. Maybe 2K was listening to all the Korver cheese complaints on MyTeam.
i disagree. a 92 doesnt mean you can take your team to a title. cause d rose is a 92. he barley played last year himself. and melo isnt elite? i definitely disagree. Kd is a great player hence his 94 rating. but to say that melo should be 5 points overall lower than him is disrespectful considering they are of the same mold type of player.but dwight definitely needed to be lowered. no disrespect to him but he was tooooo much before.
The reason maybe Deron got a higher rating is because he's better than Melo in other point guard areas by a mile dont you think? I mean yeah Melo is better in some areas but maybe by not much maybe 3 points or so (Melo isn't that exceptional as a player but he's in the top ten) but in other areas Deron is better by a lot which will over compensate the difference Melo has over Deron in other areas. Just saying
but considering in this game that they added more stats for post moves. should result in players who play in the post getting a boost. which in that case melo is wayy ahead of d will. i think most signature skills apply to more of guards this year. therfore a lot of guards are inflated
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but I don't know why people get so upset about overall ratings. Some guys have lower overall ratings because they're just great at one thing (shooting), in comparison to a guy who can shoot, dribble, defend, pass and rebound some.
Where is Kyle O'Quinn???? I can understand 2K not adding players whose contracts aren't guaranteed yet, but his is fully guaranteed for this season. That is straight bull.
I'm not one to complain about rosters... but I really wonder WHY these rosters aren't complete. I mean, when I look at the changes needed, I imagine it'd take me, a single person, about maybe 1-2 hours to put all of them in.
So...I got Tyshawn, thanks for that, but WHERE are Mirza and Toko since you know, they've been signed for months now.
Agreed. Especially since they have blatche and Childress who I believe have non-guaranteed contracts and donte Greene who is not on the team while Teletovic and toko have guaranteed contracts. I'm sure other teams have the same problems but I haven't checked.
No Kyle Singler, or Slava Kratsov. Both signed contracts over a month ago. Probably closer to two months...
The problem with these updates:
1. When they come, they are not complete.
2. They don't come frequently.
3. Once a player is rated low, especially a role player or a 2nd round pick sleeper, you know for a fact that it will take them a very long time for their rating to be updated, even if they start off the season better than anyone expected.
Normally I wouldn't expect anyone to have a complete roster, but this isn't just one person, this is a professional company. Plus it was pushed back from the weekend, so they had time...they should honestly fire the 2k insider and just hire 5 guys who will each watch over one division and work together to push out updates frequently and accurately. Cost more? Maybe, but its been proven that the way it is now isn't enough.
NBA live 10 use to update player ratings on a daily basis based on how the players played on a game to game basis. Injuries were also updates almost daily. Trades/signings updates weren't every day, but they were frequent.
I agree, but its obvious, they wont ever do that or anything that costs them more, because they already have our money now im sure they could care less about what we want now
WHAT NBA DO U WATCH KD IS MUCH BETTER THEN MELO OFFENSIVELY MELO SHOT 32% LAST SEASON GET SERIOUS
before you read the dumb stat that 2k made an error on. look at real facts. what basketball do you watch if you really beleived melo shot 32 percent last season lol. i think you meant 43 percent. which is 2 higher than deron williams who is a 90. he shot 41. lol so i guess YOU dont watch basketball
Considering they pushed back the release of these rosters an entire week, I would have expected something... a little more complete.
I understand that they shouldn't waste time and effort including some of these jobbers that will soon be in the Italian league or something like that, but a guy like Teletovic has a contract and has a place on the Nets.
