There is not going to be any changes or week 2 updates with this roster update for the CC. There is approval process before they can put them live. The roster cut off date is wednesday i think and they probably submitted this for approval last week.

The positive: we will have updated rosters albeit late. I can wait given I am waiting on the yes or no on the ability to edit player numbers before starting my CCM.
I love this cat and mouse game going on right now. I enjoy playing Madden, but this roster nonsense makes it hard for me to play it consistently.
What kills me is the order in which they've decided on releasing updated rosters. EA proudly displays on the main menu that over 90,000 online CCM leagues have been created, which tells me that plenty of people are interested in the mode and are using it. However, they decide to release the rosters that cater to the "Play Now" and "Online Ranked" crowd before doing something to please those that are a part of the 90,000+ online CCM leagues.
Keep in mind that Online CCM is the newer of the two modes, which means it should be the one garnering the most attention. That's marketing 101.
Yet here we are, 2 days away from the start of Week 2 of the NFL season and we're still without an "Opening Day" roster set to use with their shiny new Connected Careers mode.
I'm not going to pretend I know what goes into creating these rosters or why they need to be done twice (one for play now, one for CCM), but I cannot, for the life of me, understand why management would not have mandated that by opening night (a week ago tomorrow), there should be an Opening Day roster set ready to use with Online CCM. Hell, they could've run Madden 13 commercials in the Cowboys-Giants game with the tag line, "Start your 2012 season NOW with accurate, up-to-date rosters...XBox Live or PSN required..."
I feel for those who are disappointed. For some reason, I'm not. I imagine that largely has to do with Tony Romo still not having the correct helmet in the most recent 'play now' roster update. I'd say the chances aren't good for him to have the correct helmet in this CCM update either. Not to mention the other Cowboys that I have reached out to Donny Moore about via Twitter...
I know we're only a week into the season, but from my team's perspective, M12 had many of the players looking very accurate. I hope player authenticity is not another aspect M13 that has gone backwards from the prior year.
Just crossing my fingers edit player finds its way into CCM. I'll just keep rocking on play now 'til its resolved.
Yeah. I have always been fine with them getting the majority of players' gear wrong, because I could always fix it, and no harm/no foul.
This year, it's a totally different ball game. they still mess it up, and pretty badly, and we can't fix it!
2 options:
Get the gear spot on - With no ability to edit
Get the gear wrong (like always) - Let us edit
It's pretty sad that there are multiple high profile players, that they have messed up. Very frustrating.
not sure if this has been asked or not? but are these rosters gonna be anything like the play now one and online where alot of players just disappeared? i mean what if u wanna sign some players cut? but now vanished? seems strange that ea would take players out game for no reason.

Its not for no reason. Its that they have to delete a player for every player they put in, or they would have more people on the original roster as well. Someones gotta get cut
This is terrible. We have to still use pre-preseason rosters for our offline and online franchises after week 1 of the regular season.
It's bad enough they got rid of import of NCAA rosters, which caused me to not purchase NCAA. Thanks for saving me 65 bucks there EA. Not to mention they get rid of Fantasy draft, which caused at least 2 of my buddies to not purchase the game.
I got the game on release day and have played 1 full game, that's it. Only because I want to start an offline franchise with somewhat current rosters.
I went to sleep last night thinking that "tomorrow will finally be the day I get to start my online CC. I cant wait til I wake up".
Today, I wake up and see that EA has let everyone down once again. Now it wouldnt surprise me if Friday they tell us instead to wait til the beginning of next week, and then at the beginning of next week, they push it back to Friday again.
This blows.
Similar situation. Stayed up all night playing Madden and COD until about 9AM. Read a forum on here the Xbox version is available. Great. Let me take a shower and try again. Still not up yet on PS3. Went to sleep. Woke up ready to download the patch. Read it'll be another 2 weeks for PS3.
So incredibly frustrating... First we get a week *** patch and now this. I like CCM but at this point it doesn't seem like it was worth the trouble. Not very efficient if the have to do double the work for one week of roster updates. They really should have held off on CCM for another year until thy got it fully off the ground.
Now I just sit and wait until Friday to start a CCM that still needs to be patched anyway, all the while the clock is ticking down to oct.2, after which alot of us won't care about madden anymore anyway. SMH
But hey they already got my money and are enjoying record sales so jokes on me! Can't be mad at them though because it's a business and I'm a grown man and I know better....
Inexcusable. Absolutely inexcusable. I thought one of the benefits of this CCM thing was that they could nudge in things like tweaks and rosters with ease, kind of a streamlining of the process, which was going to make them more responsive to the consumer. Boy, I guess we were sold a tall tale. We say this every year, but why not have the rosters be constantly updated? Didn't they have some kind of daily update to the rosters on their basketball title a few years ago? Can they not implement something like this in Madden? They have more resources than almost any other game company and continually trail behind the competition when it comes to real ingenuity and customer service.
If there is one thing EA is the king of, it's letting down the gamer and not meeting the expectations and hype that surround their product. Too bad we don't have another company doing football titles to give them a cattle prod to the butt and hopefully motivate 'em a bit.
Sorry for the rant but I have just about had it with EA and after twenty years of playing Madden (I'm 38 next month) and being disappointed with probably every football title they have released this gen, I'm about to stop buying their games. I've got a full time job, a wife, two kids, and a finite amount of time to play, so it would be nice if they could release a finished product, give us some realistic football, with good rosters, so when people like myself have some time when they can play the game or start a season/franchise, they can, and don't have to keep waiting on patch fixes and rosters.
If you're referencing me, I think I laid it out pretty good as to why I'm a bit peeved at this latest "date slip"/snafu/issue. For those of us with limited time, yeah, it's a bit annoying, I admit it, will my life go on? Sure, but that doesn't mean I don't have a right to voice a concern and vent a bit. No offense, but maybe you should stop overreacting because nobody is saying their world is gonna end, we're just a bit pissed that once again, our $60 annual purchase isn't quite what we were hoping it was gonna be.
Plenty of other threads if you wanna read 'em, so don't give yourself the rise in blood pressure and go read the other threads if what we say infuriates you so much.
