Once I finish a lap without spinning out four times into the gravel, I'll be happy.

I too was a little underwhelmed by the driving model in the demo. I played 2 seasons of F1 2001 between April and August before trading it in when I bought Madden. I absolutely loved it and considered skipping 2012. What made me decide trade 2011 in and go with 2012 was that on top of Austin, it will feature Hockenheim for the German GP which I largely prefer over Nurburgring as well as Bahrain which I also enjoy a lot.

I'll give 2012 a good amount of playing time and will most likely adapt to the driving model. But I'll have no problem trading it in after a while and getting 2011 back if 2012 doesn't do it for me.

tried it on PS3, deleted it from the PS3, got it on my PC, will be buying right away. So much better than the 2010 version, and everything feels as good as it needs to be for a game like this, they will never make it as good in the physics as iRacing or other top games, they have to make money.

Been having a lot of fun running monza 5 lap races, DRS and Kers really make it fun, nothing worse than getting blasted by a train of DRS with nothing you can do. Really fun game.

PC and PS3 look pretty much identical to me in that video.

Awesome game!!
at the end of the race you can watch back the entire replay, but other than that you only have the little moments (from what i can find) while actually in the race. Pretty sure that is how codemaster games have always been.

What wheel settings do you all use (steering linearity, etc.)? It feels different than F1 2011 using the same settings.

Ive got my g25 set to 270 out of game, and 0 for everything in game, no environment effects, and wheel weight at like 80, ffb set to 40.

Yeah it is. I had to raise my SL and SS. I had them both at 0 last year. But I am dialed in now

Just a note to anyone with wheels, go to custom and set the input over ride to wheel (at least on the demo) for some reason it makes the steering better at low speeds, rather than the Off, that is selected with the g25, or my mind could be playing tricks on me.

Downloaded this demo last night, it looks much the same as 2011 to me graphics wise, control seemed to be a bit more twitchy/sensitive. However, this game is traditionally so damn good when it comes to a racing title, I'm trading in 2011 today, to pick this one up.

Im not a huge F1 fan, I find the races to be boring to watch with how spaced out the cars tend to be, with huge margins of victory and such, however I do watch, because some of the tracks are so challenging, and it is impressive to see what these guys do with those cars around those tight tracks. That being said, I enjoy playing this game usually much more than a NASCAR game simply because the tracks are more demanding, and much more fun to drive.

Can't wait to pick this up this afternoon.
