lol. One thing that will need fixing, is player ratings. Morgan Rielly(Leafs 5th overall pick) is 55 and 2.5 stars of potential(out of possible 5)

Sure, Yakupov is 62 overall and 4.5 stars potential and Murray is 60 overall and 4.5 stars and Reinhart is 57 overall and 4.5 stars

But others like Galchenyuk is 2.5 stars!2 picks in top 5 were only given 2.5 potentials?WORST dman in Leafs AHL team is better than Rielly.

One question I had has been answered.

The background DOES change if you trade players. I just tested it out and traded some guys to the Leafs, and when the background automatically changes every few seconds, they did show the player on the roster, in the background as 1 of the 3 players on the customizable fave team menu screen.

There's lots of moments in NHL Moments live(26 as of now, if 12/13 season happens, you can download more moments)

1st one is using Gretzky, 2nd is using Lemieux. There's also more recent ones such as ones from 2012 like Crosbys return against Jets

I know it's not an impression, but I don't know where else to put this and am hoping to get a few games in later this afternoon before the download goes up.

Like I said, I played 5 min periods and got rid of hit/pass assistance and increased penalties

lol, for team intros, they added in crowd booing when opponent steps on ice
Biggest impact in skating seems to be when you turn, or try changing directions
Commentary is still the same
Players fight for position infront of net
Cutscenes are better than in past game, and like in the demo, after the play, we see the cutscenes air, but the commentary in the full game actually goes with the cutscene
Can't bump into goalies and knock them down
Shot and Hit power needs to be adjusted down at least 2 points
Goal celebration stuff is same as in demo
Player fatigue needs to be adjusted down
Same game ending cutscene as usual(no 3 stars either, but it's in the menu like last year too)
The players faces really do seem alot improved

After 2 periods(10 minutes toal since it's 5 min periods, so for a real game, this is what each periods stats might look like)
Sens:
7 shots
8 hits
66% passing
1 penalty
3 faceoffs won(I adjusted faceoff difficulty to the middle)

Leafs(me)
1 goal
11 shots
14 hits
51% passing
0 penaties
8 faceoffs won

Final:
Sens:
15 shots
10 hits
67% passing
1 penalty
6 faceoffs won

Leafs:
1 goal
13 shots
17 hits
48% passing
1 penalty
8 faceoffs won

As you can see, penalties still need fixing(only 1 per team in 15 mins of play, most people will have 10 min periods, so that'll still average out to like 2 per team, NHL average is 3-4 per team, per game)

Then with 20 minutes periods, the average would be met.

lol maybe, but adjusted sliders and 10 min periods is what most people do, so they still get like 30 or so shots per game, around 3 goals and stuff like that, using 10 min periods.

Or maybe it could be a 1 game thing, I'll play again later, I'm gonna add custom sounds to the game first, and try out gm connected

I got bored of just leaving the game to sim(since it'll take maybe 20-30 minutes to sim a season since it takes almost 5 mins per month)

Based on Be a GM mode after november....

Trades I saw in Be a GM:
Ducks get Curt Gogol and Sena Acolatse for Jason Blake
Pens get Salvador for B.Johnson and Payerl
Bruins get Visnovsky for a 1st and Sauve
Flyers get Kuba for a 1st
Sharks get Elias and Brodeur for a 1st pick
Sharks get Langkow for Doherty and Reid
Flyers get Doan for Ranford and E.Wellwood
Wild get Spacek for Cuma and Hackett
Wings get Iginla for a 1st and M.Callahan
Sabres get Selanne and Koivu for Armia and Catenacci

Stats:
Ovechkin leads with 20 goals(in 24 games)
Kovy is 2nd wth 18 goals in 21 games
Grabner is 3rd with 13 goals in 23 games
Okposo is 4th with 12 goals in 23 games

Semin leads with 19 assists in 24 games
Spezza is 2nd with 17 assists in 23 games
Zajac/Parise are tied for 3rd with 16 assists in 21 games

Ovechkin leads with 34 points
Spezza is 2nd with 28 points
Parise is 3rd with 26 points
Semin is 4th with 25 points

Subban leads in PIM with 48
McQuaid is 2nd with 45
Perry is 3rd with 44

Alzner is leading dman with +/- of +16

Hedman leads with 86 hits in 21 games

DiPietro leads all goalies with 1.63GAA in 14 games played(and also leads with .944 sv%)
Mason 2nd with 1.80GAA in 13 games

Based on averages, seems like after 2 months, most goalies have played around 18 games.

NHL standings based on pt%(bottom 5 are Kings,Rangers,Stars,Coyotes,Lightning)
1.Habs
2.Bruins
3.Caps
4.Flyers
5.Sabres
6.Jackets
7.Hawks
8.Islanders
9.Wings
10.Sharks
11.Flames
12.Wild
13.Devils
14.Blues

Just a few quick random notes (haven't played a game yet):

- There is a tuner update already. I'm not touching this until we see what it addresses.

- There is a roster update available and moves like the Nash trade have been addressed in it.

- The music is annoying already

You signed on PSN already while playing the game? Did you enter a code or anything?

Oilers still have their custom intro, however their bench is on the wrong side of the ice in true broadcast cam. I figured this was going to be the case. I guess arenas haven't really had much work done to them after all.

If I remember correctly that tuner set should address the "backward skating for an almost automatic goal" issue...at least that's what we were told after the demo came out and videos were shown to the devs

One game in, Pro difficulty, default sliders, Ice cam:

- Hitting felt a little toned down from the demo?

- The real faces that are in the game are vastly improved and look FANTASTIC. Still a lot of players without proper faces however.

- Penalties are about what Majingir mentioned, I had 2 and the CPU had one.

- Liked the goal variety a lot.

- Could see goalies getting a little repetitive, noticed a lot of the same glove attempts.

I played 10 min period, and adjusted the things I said I would(such as shot/hit power and stuff like that)

Sens:
1 goal
23 shots
9 hits
65% passing
1/2 on PP
8 faceoffs won

Leafs: (me)
4 goals(1 empty net)
23 shots
5 hits
53% passing
0 powerplays!
18 faceoffs won

Faceoff thing is surprising, since the demo was only 1 tick higher than what I'm playing on now, and in the demo, I could win maybe 10% of faceoffs
Still not many penalties! Don't know how EA isn't fixing this.
Home win music is STILL broken

They DIDN'T update the banners at the top of the arenas. They talk about updating the "power rings" and scoreboards, but I went to a game in the Canes arena(cause I noticed it in NHL12) and Thrashers banner is STILL there(NHL13 and it's still there). No Jets banner!

Game 2, same settings but with true broadcast cam:

- Same deal with penalties, one per team.

- Loving the puck physics! Maybe not perfect, but it's great to see it flip and flutter when it should. Lots of good bounces all around.

- I'm convinced that this camera with "always up" controls is the way to go this year. I don't know if it's just because it's a different view than what I'm used to in this game or what, but it just feels like it affects the way I play so much that it opens up a lot of different animations and in game situations. I could be crazy, I just feel like I'm noticing a lot more of the improvements when playing this way.

- One thing I loved, I had a D man in the box and when his penalty expired he jumped out of the box and made a bee line for the bench, in full on hustle mode and everything. This is great, no more random d man trying to play wing until a line change or stoppage in play.

Now, graphically speaking I have to say that I think I did notice a little bit of blur happening on the players in my Ice cam game. I was NOT seeing this in the demo as some others were, but I noticed it here. In my game with the true broadcast cam the problem seemed like it was solved. I don't know if it perhaps has something to do with the previously mentioned motion blur/fog combined with the distance of the camera from ice level or what, just a quick observation from my first two games.

EDIT: Just to add to that last paragraph: another reason I feel like the blur might have something to do with the camera distance is because replays and the real time cutscenes both look sharp regardless of camera. Also when in Ice cam, everything that isn't moving seems to be at normal sharpness.

Random visual stuff:

- New lighting is awesome.

- It's small, but visors looks great. I think this in turn makes a lot of the player faces of those guys who wear them look even better/more realistic.

- The more pronounced snow spray is great, and I really love the way it gets on the boards and glass. It's really nest to see it on the goalies as well when it works.

- Both the replay selection and angles throughout the game are excellent and much improved.

- Same goes for the in between period stuff, big big improvement here which gives the illusion of perhaps a more revamped presentation package than actually exists.

- Net cam is still a little jaggy/pixelated as it was in the demo, but it's still really great. Is a treat when they show a goal using it, but it's also neat when the net gets knocked off. So far I've been going into instant replay and watching every goal in it.

Just got a game in with early release. I just wanted to first say that the "action tracker" in the in-game menu is really cool. I sat and watched it after my game, and the camera angles it gave on the replays were sweet.
