ProBably in 2K13 , u can ADD pippen to '92 dream team, if it will be possible.

With the inflation in ratings its not outlandish to think Rose will be rated at 94/95 ish

Definitely got ripped off by not making the All Defensive Teams.

Why do people constantly exaggrate with the "Blake Griffin only dunks" crap? The guy has good footwork (as stated by another poster in a previous thread), some of the best handles for a bigman, can rebound like the devil (did slip a little this past season), is a good passer for a bigman (better than Kevin Love) and is already a top-level and efficient scorer. His negatives are obvious (no quality post-moves, completely erratic outside jumper/free-throwing shooting and no defense), but the guy can play and is deserving of a good rating.

I wonder how Shawn Kemp would be received today when "all he did was dunk" and was a worse rebounder and passer than Griffin?

It was announced today he's in the Dream Team already.

kevin love is a massively under rated passer. he can chest pass the ball the entire length of the court, even after playing 45 minutes. he has massive strength, he has a great basketball IQ (offensively and defensively) which will always boost your rating in 2k if mp has taught us anything. he can rebound, he can be competent in the post, he has a great long mid range game, much better than just outside the paint post shooting like LA who can barely shoot past 15ft. he has great leadership qualities which seem important this year in 2k land.

where is this kevin love can only score from 3 nonsense coming from? he put up 51 this season with only 21 of them coming from 3, 12 were from his uncanny ability to get to the ft line (he is top 5 at getting himself to the ft line), still leaves plenty of scoring from inside and mid against a great defensive team.

You were doing good until this part, there I stopped reading. Have you at least tried to check both players mid range stats and shot locations before posting this? I would say no...

Here is a nice tip as you proved to be a casual fan who desperately needs this

http://hoopdata.com/shotstats.aspx , check 16-23 feet made shoots. Surprise!! Aldridge ranks 4th in the entire nba and Love isn't even on the list

I still don't see the greatness in Love. I know he's one of the top PF's and a sick rebounder with a nice perimeter shot but he's not that athletic, doesn't have a good post game, and doesn't defend well. A low to Mid 80 seems reasonable but then again they made Iggy an 87 lol so idk. The roster editing awaits...

Huh? No post game? No mid range? You seriously haven't watched Kevin Love much -- you do know he pulls 3s and hits them, right? You know one of his favorite things is to pump fake you from mid range (because you know, guys have to respect it) and dive into the lane, right? Athleticism doesn't matter if you can get your job done. I won't say he's a good defender, you're right but he's better than Dirk.

He scores better than Dirk or Aldridge. He rebounds better than Dirk or Aldridge. Has the same range -- not as good as Dirk but that wouldn't make Dirk better. I also think he has better passing ability than them too. Annndddd he's only 23 years old

When the seasons starts, I bet Ellis' rating will drop at least 3 points. I really can't say anything about Davis though, he rolled with Team USA so he has to be at least worth a 78-9.

And honestly, until we get some more PF ratings, I can't really assess whether Love's rating makes sense.

Actually Twolves are one of the teams that I watch the most, with the other teams being the Blazers and the Celtics, I watch almost every game for those 3 teams since 2 years, and Love mid range and post game aren't even close to Aldridge's same as Aldridge's rebounding isn't even close to Love's , there is no possible discussion about that. He scores MORE than Aldridge, but better? that's debatable , 22 ppg with 51% against 26 with 45%, I don't see a big difference. Aldridge scores better and more efficiently from everywhere in the court besides 3pt and ft line , that's a fact and I have stats to prove it

Maybe you haven't watched the blazers since years?

# 95 Phreezy P @ 08/29/12 04:04 AM
Don't know why anyone is comparing Love to Aldridge when Aldridge's rating didn't even come out yet.

Because **** logic.

I completely, wholeheartedly disagree. And i'm one of 'those' who grew up watching Pippen and the Bulls and now have to put up with the media oversaturation of stars who, quite frankly, aren't doing anything different to those who came before them.

Lebron? (And this will surely get people's backs up) A big man thundering down the court at break neck speed slamming it over all and sundry? Yeah, seen it before. Charles Barkley Springs to mind. Shawn Kemp also.

Lebron? Big man setting up the offense? Yep. Seen it before. Nothing new here. Magic Johnson anyone?

Someone who can throw all those skills together? Scottie pippen.

I think Pip deserves the 92 rating, he brought everything to the table, no less than LBJ - who, I might add, does not deserve a 99 rating. That should be for MJ only. Bron should level out at 96 or so in my eyes.

# 97 raidertiger @ 08/29/12 05:42 AM
No one complaining about Ellis? He was an 84 last year coming off arguably his best year, he's now an 86 coming off his worst year. What's up with the ratings?

Bruh, the only thing Pippen may have done better than LBJ is defense and LBJ can make a case for that. LBJ led his team further ON HIS OWN than Pippen did -- and I'm talking about the Cavs. He scores better than Pippen did. He has better court vision than Pippen did. He rebounds better than Pippen. Shoots the 3 ball and freebies better than Pippen. Now I'm not saying Pippen was garbage but don't even elude to Lebron just being Pippen. Pippen had one good season without Jordan -- and he was already on a pretty good team from the year prior. The next year the Bulls struggled and it took Jordan to save them. And... nevermind... lol

*And when you read this I need you think like this: I'm way beyond the topic like Skip Bayless trying to make a point in my favor but I'm yelling it like Steven A

More efficient? Dude, you do know I'm JerzeyReign and I like debating, right? lol. My guy... when you bring up efficiency please use it correctly -- in fact, I won't even post the efficiency stats... go find them and see where Love is. If having a solid mid range and post game qualifies LA as a better player than Love that means Gasol is better than both of them and should be rated in the 90s. And Timmy D still has some moves down there as well as Z-Bo.

But forget all that -- if you were rating Kevin Love, Pau Gasol, and your boy LA what would their ratings be?

Just my opinion my friend. Lebron does nothing that makes my jaw drop. And nothing I've not seen anyone else do before him. The NBA stars today are force fed so far down our throats as being bigger and better than they actually are, it kinda dilutes my love for the game. No slight on the man though, he is (as much as I dislike him) an incredible player. There's just plenty of others that I rate much higher than him, Pippen is most definitely one of them.

Really liking the ratings so far this year. I agree with almost all of these.
