Have to fight for the starting job depending on your rating.

If you are a High RD QB, you will most likely start right away for Jags, Chiefs, Jets, SeaHawks, Rams, Phins, Browns.

JP, you win. Posting this video has officially put me on the madden 13 bandwagon. I wanted so much not to like this game, but connected careers is the future of sports gaming.

I'm not on a Madden bandwagon, unless you are talking about the current development team. I've had a good feeling about this team ever since Cam Weber was hired as GM of EA Football and now that Madden 13 is about to come out, that feeling has been verified for at least the first year. I want to see where it goes from here, but I have a good feeling about this team for the future too. IF this truly is just year one of a 3 year plan and legacy issues like player movement and o/d line interaction are a part of this, then man we are going to have some amazing and possibly best ever football gaming for years to come.

You can't deny that they took this year's version very seriously. Great, thorough vid.

I Can only hope players progress regardless of XP Spent because dont think your going to get very far adding +1 to catching etc.

Im all in favour or working really hard to boost attributes but needs to be realistic esp since player careers in real life are 4 years average

yes but the average players don't progress much any way. that's why they only stay in the league 4 years. it even more realistic if you look at it that way. most players wont progress all that much. the ones that will will be in the league way more than the average.

Well, you have any suggestions for those of us living in Europe? I bought the Season Ticket but won't be able to download the game until monday 13:00 local time. This will be the longest weekend EVER!!

Back on topic. I absolutely can't wait to dive into this mode. Bough the wife 5 new books yesterday. Then she has something to do while I go play! Sneaky sneaky...

I think I'll stay off the forums and only drop in to check up on sliders! I don't want to know which players comes out of retirement in CC and such... I want to be surprised!

Btw. I get that due to logistics we get the game released to stores overseas later. They have to get here before they can release the damn thing! But why not let us download the game? Yes, we would get 6-7 day head start compared to those who don't have Season Ticket, but it would be a great sales pitch for the Season Ticket!

I look forward to Madden 14, my RBs confidence will be severely shaken when he gets three paternity suits slapped on him within 2 weeks of eachother. Atleast he has good penetration though.

What I like is that each computer player earns XP based on their performance (I'm assuming straight stats). As a coach you can spend the XP for them or automate it. This is a great addition to offline franchise.

However, online you will have every player pumping XP into speed. After Year Three, you will see RG3 and Cam Newton with 99 Speed, if players pick those teams.

Either way it's still better than their programmed potential based progression.

ok 2 quick questions

if you create a player use an active player or legend do you play only from their perspective like in superstar mode?

For a coach can you still control the players after calling the plays or is it like head coach where the cpu runs the plays?

Answers to your questions...

1- From the videos I've seen it's the regular default camera so i would say no perspective camera.

2-You control the players on gameday too yes but i do believe there is a Coach Mode if you did want to do that sorta thing.

Hope that helped man =]

Don't have the time to watch this right now, but for anyone who has...does Josh ever talk about if, for example, I create a coach, coach the Browns, and get fired after 3 seasons, can I then create a brand new coach, become him, and keep coaching the Browns? Or no matter what, I have to find a new team?

I know you can turn coach firing off, but if it's on, is the above possible?

I don't know if he talked about it in the video, but I know for sure that the answer to your question is yes. If you get fired, all you have to do is retire the guy and then create a new coach and choose the Browns.
