I'm just wondering that since I bought my pass last year on 8/26/11, the exact day of last yr's Madden early release, if that would cover this, too. I know it's supposed to be a full year but knowing how trickery can be played, EA may force ppl to re-up if they started theirs the same day last year just to say something like, "Oh, this year's early Madden release would start a new year so eff u, pay us!"

Oh, whatever the case, I WILL check the PSN store tomorrow round 6p to see if it's there for d-loading, regardless! If it's not there, I don't think I will be buying it again, even though I initially thought I would since I got $46 in trade in credit towards Madden 13, anyway.

The game that is sitting in stores that you will buy on Tuesday is the game you will be able to download early tomorrow at 6. It's the full game

Full game. Its just a digital download. You can start your connected career on season ticket version and pick right back up on retail version Tuesday. Everything is the same.

Most DVDs for current games can only hold ~8.5 GB so you should just have space if not you'll be very close.

No. That was the add-on.
XBOX uses single and Dual layer DVDs.
A single layer DVD can hold 4.7 GB a Dual layer can hold roughly 8.5 GB of data.

As soon as the release day was announced I checked and already had a vac day in. We were scheduled for a golf tourney tomorrow but has since been canceled.
So when I get off at 7am I'll sleep until 1 or 2.. mow grass...go to store for refreshments and impatiently wait for the download to go live.

Took about 6 hours for the demo to dl.. I can only imagine how long it will take for the game.

You can do a test through the PS3 (Setting/Internet connection/test Connection)
At bottom it will give your upload and download speeds.

At least you used to be able to do it. I haven't done it in a while.

Not sure if you can do anything like that with the 360 but I beleive you can do connection test and when done hit Y and see details. Can't remember what it shows though.

To the guys not living in the US: http://forum.ea.com/eaforum/posts/li....page#24703357

Show your support if you agree! Maybe next year we can be part of true early release!

Actually, it's usually NOT the full game. Some features may not be unlocked and the trophies/achievements u earn won't actually unlock unless u get the retail game, to be clear.

Will try not to confuse but here's a brief lesson for you...

8 Mbps link = 1 MB/sec d/l...although that's theoretically, but for many reasons it would not happen. Just so you don't think that because speedtest said you have a 14Mbps connection means you can download at 14MB/sec. Again, B = byte, b = bit. 8 bits to make a byte.

Your wired link from your system to your router is likely 100Mbps or 1GBps. Your wireless link being 54Mbps (Wireless G, there is non standard Super G that does 108Mbps but anyways..) or 300Mbps (Wireless N). When it comes to wireless there's a ton of overhead bringing your max throughout down to about half of the theoretical bandwidth...but that still is very likely to trump your incoming throughput from your ISP.

If you had a weak signal to your connected nodes or devices nearby causing interference, then that's not the wireless link's fault.

Long story short, the majority of home users don't understand connections and wouldn't be able to troubleshoot why their wireless connection is not providing what should be a strong enough link to support their incoming data, but it's very capable of doing the job.
