Yea he just said u can scout those events which means they probably com up in the off season calendar. I guess its cheaper to make Menu's then to actually let you interact during scouting.

Dont understand why the emphasis on screen after screen of user interface in dynasty with zero immersion factor.

I'm not blindly supporting EA, if I were I'd be saying "OMG this is the greatest thing since slice bread!". I know it's got it's faults and I know it's far from perfect, but I also know it's a video game as well. You see we're two different people, I don't expect a game to reflect real life all that much because....well it's not real life. NBA 2k hardly reflects real life after the first season, same goes for MLB the Show, unless you're gonna spend ridiculous amounts of time trying to reflect real life (which is stupid to me, but everyone's got their kink I guess). I'm not gonna be spending my entire free time playing this game, I've got more important things to do than that. All I want is a decent game that will get me through the week until Sunday (when I can watch real football all day), I'm not asking for the world. Madden 12 was NOT a decent game, it was absolutely terrible, and it couldn't get me through the week. It's that hard to please me, and this year EA has done that for the first time since Madden 08 on original Xbox.

Obviously you aren't pleased, and that's your problem.

Typos.

Thats a nice speech and all, but all that says is you have very lax standards. When the consumer base has lax standards the producer of the product knows only minimal effort is needed to make sales. By your own word you seem to directly contribute to that business model.

Yeah I have lax standards on a video game, I'm a lax person all together. I mean I know when a game is completely unplayable (Madden 12) but I'm not asking for the world, just give me something decent.

Yeah maybe you should have looked at my edit. I meant it's NOT hard to please me, but Madden hasn't done so since 08. Yeah the game hasn't dropped yet, but that already shows how terrible Madden 12 was doesn't it? Besides, the demo was pretty fun for me. At any rate, my standards aren't incredibly low, but they're not impossibly high either....like a lot of people on here. But hey, that's just me personally.

Back on topic, I wonder how much XP we're going to have for scouting. Something tells me we're going to have to narrow it down to 10 or so players.

I think you earn XP for scouting. So I guess it depends on well you succeed at earning the XP.

If you are a Teambuilder, Im guessing that you get more Scouting XP to start with. Since I build my team through the draft, I plan on being a Teambuilder

That all depends on how you use your XP. You may find out early in the process that you don't like a certain guy and can move on to the next player, while other guys you may need to spend more on. It'll be important to scout the attributes you value so you can decide whether they are worth it early in the process... Oh, and if you haven't seen it already:

It will also be wise to scout for scheme either first, or early on. If you're only looking for a player in a position that fits exact to your scheme, no point wasting XP on other skills, if then you find out he doesn't fit your scheme. And by the looks of things, scheme only costs 25 XP to unlock, so I'm going to do that first on everyone I scout

I think it's a huge upgrade from previous NFL drafts in Madden. I like it! The real-time effect is great, but hopefully EA can fix a few of the flaws/bugs in future updates. Wonder if there will be a work-around for uploading NCAA draft classes? I'm sure there will be an NCAA file created by various users that we can upload to the Madden draft class.

Does anyone know if say I wanna be a player throughout the season in CCM but then right before the offseason become coach so that I can build the team I'm playing on the way I want, will I have a significant amount of xp I've earned as a player to do this or because I haven't completed any "goals" as coach during the regular season I have to share the xp I've earned as a player to use between "my coach" and "my player"?

First I never have any luck with search engine here(I tried though)

Will madden 13 allow you to build your own draft class or rename a draft class player IE like in NBA 2k12 ???

I understand no import of draft class but nba 2k12 version was nice to use.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I believe that if you play out the year as a player then switch to the coach, the player you played as will have HIS XP that he earned for himself and XP the coach has will be from whatever goals that the CPU completed throughout the sim. Again, not 100% sure about this but that's my take on it.
