NBA 2K13 Video - Impressions From 2K Sports Team Up Event (Sma11z99)

Hey guys had to edit out a couple sentences of version 1 but here is my video again. Once again, I want to note a couple things I don't think I touched on.

Speed is fixed, forgot to mention it. Westbrook zips by everyone and thank god Perkins cant run with him.
Olympics in MyPlayer: I believe I stated in the video but the hints that there will be Olympics in MyPlayer.
Rebounding: Rebounding is much better in the game. No morphing.
Celebrities in Stands: I remembered this when i was driving this morning. I asked if Jay-Z will be Courtside at Nets Games. He said with a smile, "Thats a good question I wonder why I've been namedropping and hinting celebs for a while with 2K13." Celebs courtside. Would be cool to see it.
Olympics Mode: He kinda spilled some beans about Olympics teams. I expect Olympics Mode & a lot of Olympics teams.
Dead ball interactions: More talking and taunting with players on dead ball.
They were bragging hard about the full current build but wouldn't let us see it. Are they trying to prevent it from leaks or are they holding back cause there not as confident in the game?
Fatigue: We saw sweat and players hunch over and put their hands on their knees
P.S. I'm known to be blunt and to the point with community managers, just ask THQ. I'm brutally honest.

Did the CPU opponent utilize the midrange game (pull-up jumpers) more in 2K13 rather than chucking 3s or going hard to the rim all the time?

From the clips from gamescom it looked like you were able to move around while in a rebound stance. Can you or Vann confirm this?

If Olympics are in My Player, there better be team Canada and a whole lot of others because nobody wants to be repping team USA when they aren't American.

As a Canadian, I agree. And this is something that would get me to give My Player a longer run than past iterations of 2K.

Yeah, I agree. Put in all those awful basketball countries teams so I can slaughter them with Team USA.

Yeah that would really be big. Something I would of never expected.

Even though I guess we might not get classic teams then. Or maybe in a DLC.

This is the most likely thing I personally think (or hope) with the Olympic Teams in 2K13:

There's gonna be a NBA's Greatest-like mode, but with the US Olympic teams, spanning from 1992-2012 to obviously celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Dream Team. So that means not only 1992/2012 Olympic teams will be there, but possibly 1994 (Dream Team II), 1996 (Dream Team III), 2004 (Nightmare Team) + more and each Olympic US team will face the hardest and/or most memorable matchup they faced that year. So if you win the mode, you unlock the teams, jerseys, players to edit gear with. (Just like NBA's Greatest.) Plus Team USA 2012, the Olympic teams from 2012, Dream Team are the only unlocked teams already available to play.

There could still be Classic Teams too, depends though. Plus the only thing you can use to debunk this idea is that the money it could take to have ALL the players likeness. Like A.I. and Reggie. But, on the other hand, NBA 2K is in my opinion, one of the top selling sport franchises, with at least 1,000,000 copies of the game sold each year with prices ranging from $20 to $60 and now $100 with those willing to get Dynasty Edition. So that means 2K got a couple million to spend on player likeness, development, and all that business stuff. I hope 2K does this, if they did, then that will certainly blow 2K12 right off, and compete with 2K11 being the greatest basketball/sport game ever.

The 92 Dream Team would slaughter that team...as would the 2012 team. What is your point? Anyone else wanna help me get this guy's point? He picks out one game where our best player was not on the team at the time in Kobe (I believe he was the best player in the NBA in 06) and act like it is some trend. Give me a break.

The two teams we know of that are in the game are 92 and 2012 USA...who beat down all (in 92's case) and for the most part when they were trying their best (in 2012's case) of all the teams they played.

Nice try though.

Couldn't play Myplayer or Crew , sad day. Hope they bring it back !

My player mode with Olympics would be amazinggg, a step in the right direction for sure.

Most of them are awful, Spain, Russia, France and Argentina being the really only exception. And it does not work that way...of course if you cheat and put tons of countries against the US you might have a good game there.

I'd still take the US though, but I get to put the best 12 on it HEALTHY and then we can ball it up. Good luck beating that team then with whatever world team you put together but I agree would be much more interesting.

I might be in the minority, but I'd like to see all those "small" countries in the game.
