FIFA 13 News Post

FSB has posted some good news for Career Mode fans. In FIFA 13, your club can now take part in 1st season European football.

Quote:
  • In the Career Mode setup menu you can now select “Europe 1st Season”
  • This takes you through to the cup draw which at first is populated with random teams.
  • You then get the option to draw again from “seeded teams” which will give you a tournament setup closer to the real deal.
  • After that you can also manually swap teams with others from the same league if you wish.

Listen to the audiocast from FSB, where Lead Producer Santiago Jaramillo, goes into more detail.

About time.

It's never affected me personally but it should definitely be in there.

This was needed for a while, and I like the depth of implementation. The fact that you can customize the draw is more than I would have hoped for.

Great news, I always hated how Europe was never in the game for the first season.

In FIFA games past, you had to play through a complete season before the Champions League, and Europa League were introduced. Now finally it's included from the jump, which is a good thing.

Hooray! That only took what? Four, five years? Better late than never. Great news.

I'm curious what this means: "After that you can also manually swap teams with others from the same league if you wish."

Probably so you don't have too many teams from the same league/country.

No. It says you can swap with teams from the same league, meaning you can't swap out a Spanish team for an English team.

I think it just means you can choose which are the teams from each league that participate, without actually changing the number of teams per league. That way, if you start a career in May 2013 and want to set up the Champions League as it will be in 2013-2014 you can.

Yes that's what I think it means.
