Madden NFL 13 News Post

EA Sports’ Madden NFL 13 Ratings Reveal enters its second week as the fans decided amongst all QB’s that RGIII will be the fastest, Matthew Stafford will have the strongest arm, Aaron Rodgers will have the most accurate deep ball and Peyton Manning is the most aware.

Voting has begun to determine the most elusive running back in Madden NFL 13. For the rest of the week, we'll see polls for the acceleration and elusiveness rating.

This campaign allows fans to vote on attributes like speed, elusiveness, hit power and more. The winner of each vote will be the highest-rated player for that attribute at their position in Madden NFL 13.

Upcoming weeks will focus on running backs, wide receivers and defenders, with the winners in each category announced every Friday. Here is the voting schedule breakdown:
  • Aug 6 – 10: Running Backs – Speed, Acceleration, Trucking, Elusiveness
  • Aug 13 – 17: Wide Receivers & Tight Ends – Speed, Spectacular Catch, Route Running, Agility
  • Aug 20 – 24: Defense – Speed, Hit Power, Tackling, Man Coverage
  • Aug 24: Offensive Line, Special Teams and Overall Team Ratings
Not only will each winner receive a boost in their attributes in Madden NFL 13, but they’ll also be immortalized with a special card in Madden Ultimate Team. Fans who collect the cards of every winning player will be able to add them to a collection which will unlock a special Madden Ultimate Team reward in Madden NFL 13.

So the question is... Who should be the most elusive RB in Madden NFL 13?
  • LeSean McCoy
  • Adrian Peterson
  • Jamaal Charles
In case you missed it.

If EA is gonna do this, then why not do it like the cover. 32 Teams, 32 players let the fans vote. I'm sure McCoy would still be there in the fins, but so would Sproles.

Sproles is not more elusive than LeSean or Jamaal Charles. LeSean IS the most elusive back in the league right now.

Sproles has been great since his days as a Charger but he is not a better running back than either Shady, Charles or All Day.

Next thing you know you're going to say Devry Henderson should be the fastest wide receiver right?

When since your having a go at me for it, you obviously do not think he is, do you want me to have a go at you now since that is your opinion? Troll.
I'm no more good.

At this point it's a fact, LeSean is a more elusive back than Darren.

"Troll"... I don't think that word really means what you think it means.

IM sorry but IM with saint fans here problem is that eagle fans and eagle users are so in denaial they act like the eagles are,the best team in the NFL and act as if there better then every team in the NFL point is there not but you put an.eagle in the Voting he going to win IM sorry on,paper the eagles look loaded but that's paper football that's why the game is played on the field and in terms of how good the eagles are not vary good if you base it,off championships because the eagles have none anyway are far as elusive goes McCoy should not be an.option guys, like AP McCoy McFadden Jones Drew Bush skill more Elusive because they have the combo of speed and ability to break tackles which helps with there elusiveness because they can make a would be tackler bounce off and Juke the next guy so they look more elusive then they are when you look at guys, like Charles Chris Johnson and Sporles they mainly rely on there speed to Juke and be elusive those 3 guys are not known as guys who break alot of tackles therefor they are move elusive because if they can only use there world class speed to make defenders miss that is more harder and more amazing then a guy who can also break tackles you have to be pretty special to outrun guys with no tackle breaking ability I watched sporels, play at Kansas state and when he was with the chargers like I watch Charles now and those guys along with Chris Johnson are the 3 most elusive backs in.the NFL it's no contest AP would be 4th behind them followed by McFadden McCoy then bush so there no way McCoy should be on this list not should AP but I can get why AP is there.as I seen.in. Oaklahoma but he too breaks tackles cj jc and spolies should of been.the 3 choices you could not go wrong with any of the 3 go chiefs!

I'm not hating on McCoy. Shoot, he helped me win my fantasy league. Just saying, if 2 hurt dudes on the list, Sproles should have nominated.

You keep saying that McCoy didn't do anything last year...... Have you even looked at his stats?

I'd really be a homer and say Pierre Thomas, with all the tackles he breaks. Lol.
But out of all the guys on the list, it's Shady hands down.

# 28 Champion8877 @ 08/08/12 02:08 PM
Shady McCoy. Not sure it's even that close in my opinion.

These ratings threads, whether they are teams or players are always pure comedy.

It's definitely McCoy even if he is a turn over machine.

One fumble makes you a turnover machine?

Question does anyone actually know the defamation of elusive? Anyway as far as the elusive rating goes does anyone think it should be award based on a player who has.it harder then the other?

look when your a Combo of Speed Break Tackle ability acc agi str its easier to be elusive when guys can bounce off of you as you can juke the next guy this Is where McCoy AP MJD Rice Bush McFadden and meny others come in

it's easier when you have that combo vs a guy who only has speed acc and agi to work with as those guys are guys who are easier to tackle as they rely on there speed to outrun defenders and make would be tacklers miss that's where guys like Chris Johnson,Jammal Charles, and Darren Sporls come in there more elusive and are by far the top 3 most elusive backs in the NFL as there 1 dismissional players.

it's easy when your 2 Dismissional Player so how anyone can say McCoy is the best elusive back in the league is Ludacris and I don't know what game there watching or if they know what elusuveness means but McCoy is top 10 in Elusiveness but not top 5 nor the best in the nfl so in other words the Madden ratings are supposed to reflect real life.

but in this case it's not which is why EA needs to go back to the old system and keep the voting out of the fans hands because it's been proven That when it comes to football or sports in particular fans are vary clueless so it's best to keep it out of fans hands to stop the popularity contest nonsense

it's a joke if EA needs help in deciding stuff like this then let the actual players who play the game be the Judge as they see what goes on every sunday so chances are they would get it right compared to clueless fans who base it only off the name on the back of the Jersey anyway say no to fan votes go chiefs!

First, I'm a Eagles/McCoy fan. Second, People Lie, Numbers don't Lie. Darren Sproles is considered a better receiver because he had more receptions/targets 86/111 vs. 48/69 for McCoy. His receiving skills are not in question, it's his ability to run between and around the tackles without getting hit. His 86 rushing touches does not warrant a consideration in the top 5 most elusive backs. The best and worst receiving backs are below by drop percentages.

I don't know what that wall of stats is even supposed to be telling that has anything to do with being elusive....The only way to tell who's the most elusive back in the NFL is to watch the tape not stats(maybe average yards per carry since the whole point of being elusive is avoiding tackles).

Just because Sproles only had 86 rushing touches doesn't disqualify him or anyone else for that matter(he had almost 600 yds I believe which would probably give him one of the highest averages last season), he probably had close to 200+ touches when you include Catches, Rushes, PR/KR all stuff RBs do not just running.

I like the Eagles and I like the Saints. No bias what so ever here. But anyone who thinks Sproles is a better RB than McCoy obviously doesn't watch a lot of football. I don't even think Sproles is a top 20 RB in the league. Is Sproles a good receiver, yeah, but he's not in McCoys league as a RB in my opinion.

My vote goes for McCoy, who I also think is a top 5 back in the league right now.

# 38 Chrisksaint @ 08/08/12 03:52 PM
I think people need to realize the question at hand, most elusive not who's better overall and it seems to be this way in a lot of these votes discussions

# 39 speedy9386 @ 08/08/12 04:07 PM
But in the top 100 video you hear defenders and commentators talk about how he's the most elusive running back in the league, going as far as comparing him with barry sanders. I don't know how much more elusive you can get than that.

I don't know. I understand where people are coming from because he's so agile and quick but at the same time once you get a hand on him, he's going down.
