Due to licensing deals to secure the rights for authentic masks for NHL 13, not all of them can be included. Those rights are normally held by the artist, not the goalie.

As stated in the NHL 13 blog...

Quote:
Often, the artist has used imagery that is fine to use in an artistic manner, but not for a licensed product. For example, Peter Budaj’s mask features Lionel Messi and Ned Flanders from the Simpson. The fact that licensed imagery is included in the design would prevent us from ever being able to recreate the mask in-game.

Maybe that's because -- as Madden's past seventh generation iterations have shown us -- a shiny turd is still a turd.

They could stop spending money on licensing bad pop music every year and put that money towards goalie masks instead.

Now, I thought a couple of the mask designs in the Presentation video looked new, but I don't pay a ton of close attention to those sorta things. Can anyone confirm/deny?

I agree 101%. Personally, I dont like most of the music that EA put in their game. Since we can put our own music...why pay for these musics. Just do what jyoung said...excellent way to divert funds.
