I'm not crazy about the fan vote, and I'm also surprised Stafford isn't listed, but I have to vote for Rodgers.

For all of you whom think Romo is undeserving of being on this list here you go...

... again as I said earlier, among the best deep balls in the league.

*Deep balls measured by passes more than 20 yards down field

The eye test alone let me know that Eli Manning was not among the best 3 QBs on deep balls, stats now definitely back that up

I feel like a drunk monkey reached into a jar that contained thirty-two slips of paper, each bearing starting QB's name, and randomly selected three names. Eli Manning has no business being on this list, especially at the loss of Brady, Brees, and Stafford. #smh

Also, Jimmy Clausen got robbed. His deep ball is amazing every time he throws it. And then he wakes up.

I'm really glad somebody pulled up the stats and they exactly match the top three. I would almost prefer they included the top six so that Matt Moore would be in there and I could see the absolute uproar. Oh well, one can dream.

Romo and Rodgers were not drawn out of a hat and selected for this list. Eli doesn't belong, neither does Brady.

You're right, overlooked that. He did complete the most passes and have the most yards though but also threw deep the most. I'll have to look into the last couple year's stats to see where Eli has stood up recently.

But you also have to account for his 12-7 TD-INT ratio

As far as recent years Eli's been anywhere from 8-12.

I say Aaron Rodgers

Over the last three years, Eli's been Top 5 in terms of Accuracy Pct. He's also second in both yards and touchdowns. Brees seems to be all around best though.

Three Years of Deep Passing

Are these ratings based on this past season or body of work? Because Romo's past season statistically throwing it deep was much better than Eli's and overall they're nearly identical. Romo's past year statistically was better than Eli's as a whole. Does winning a Superbowl make you a more accurate passer? Have a stronger arm?... no.

Romo's deep ball must be higher than Eli's simply because it was better this most recent season, and prior to that it was nearly the same. Romo's deep passing ability took a step up last season, and it's about time that's reflected in the ratings because Romo's current Madden NFL 12 Deep Pass Accuracy rating of 83 is an outright insult.

I'd say they're based on a bit of both in terms of last year and body of work. If they were based on last year's alone, Philip Rivers wouldn't be a 92 overall or whatever he is. Basing ratings solely on the most recent season is where a large portion of the ratings get jacked up.

Yeah I understand that, I mean, body of work has to play some role. What I'm saying is Romo and Eli were nearly identical up until last year, that should be reflected with Romo having a higher deep ball than Eli in Madden 13.

Yeah, I'm not even getting past the third post in this one lol. Where is Mike Vick? He throws one of, if not the best, deep balls in the league! He's not getting any love as a passer, huh? EA just wants to keep him as a scrambler forever, lol.

/homerism (but seriously, show Mike some love!)

Eli Manning Fact: Most deep Ball attempts (so you better have the most completions) and a pedestrian 12-7 TD/INT ratio.
