I tinker with this briefly every year but there isn't much to really keep me going. If you can earn legends w/ regular play of MUT it'll probably get me to play a lot more.

Loyalty stuff (Gridiron club) seems interesting, nice to see dividends from previous games extending to subsequent titles as a loyalty thing.

"Hundreds of solo challenges" all rewarding cards... with rewards visible before you take on the challenges... Vince Lombardi Legend card, Calvin Johnson... etc. - yeah, this is pretty cool.

One thing I really liked about the gameplay is it appears they really limited that animation where the DE bounces off the OT. If you run into the OT it appears you drive into him and then have the ability to spin off or do a move etc. That is MUCH better then that pattycake bounce off animation. That animation literally makes the DE a non factor because you get stuck in that drawn out animation and cant do anything.

The thing I didnt like is that they played the game on pro difficulty setting. I would like to see it on a higher difficulty to see if the same AI issues plague madden that are in NCAA.

Side Note: The crowd and commentary sounds LIGHT YEARS better from last year from what I can tell.

Missed it. Did they explain how you earn Legends for CC? In the CC Webcast they mentioned that some Legends had to be earned through MUT but didn't explain further.

I have no interest at all in Madden Ultimate Team.I wish they would remove it.

The Hall of Fame Game is in the new Solo Challenges mode

This mode just shows that people are gullible and they will use their hard earn money to pay for a random fantasy draft football team

You pay real money for card packs so you can have a random set of players? Paid Fanasty football?

And EA said they took out Fanasty draft lol nope you just have to pay for it...

I also noticed Jim and Phil wearing different outfits, in the second video Simms has a green tie on, didn't pay attention to the rest of the outfit just knew the green tie was new.

You can earn different versions of legends, so easier Lombardi from an early challenge that you can turn around and use in CC. They were also using 'training camp' Rodgers on the Chiefs I think, lower rated. Better versions of these legends able to be unlocked from challenges/packs.

Some of the challenges don't burn up contracts, a meta game I have no interest in and has turned me away before.

Ehh, can't really get into this mode -- its like Pokemon with football players or something.

I'm more interested in the ball pit -- does EA really have one? I thought going to the driving range was the ultimate lunch time stress relief -- a ball pit would be a very close 2nd, lol.

I actually had fun with MUT last year. Built a 90-something OVR rated team without spending a dime of actual money on the mode. Will probably play it even more this year with these additions.

I'd play this mode a lot more if I knew it wasn't possible to build a fantastic team without doing a thing besides giving them money.

Thanks for the answer. I really hate the idea of MUT but if it will be possible to quickly unlock at least the rookie versions of Legends for CC then I'll bite the bullet and do some challenges.

Just watched pieces of the gameplay that Shopmaster uploaded this morning that went along with the webcast. I have to say, I HOPE the QB sig animations have been addressed and that's just an old build.

At the community event and even in the E3 vids, it can be seen that the sig animations are triggering infrequently. Instead, we're seeing that awful crouching tiger generic throwing animation. It's an eye sore for myself...

it's now fixed...

what are you talking about? you don't need to spend money to be successful with this mode.

Can you try to get an answer on this from your contacts over at EA? This was a huge addition for Madden and it would be a shame if they took it out....

Thanks!

They're not taken out...they just don't play as frequently as they should. Senator Palmer picked up on this first when examining the E3 vids.

I sent an email to give the developers a heads up at the last community event; whether they act on it and address it is on them.

They showed it as a collection reward.
If you played MUT this year, it looks like the Keeper collection.
One card in the collection being the legend(ex: John Elway), put that card in the collection and you unlock him in Connected Careers.

sounds good to me, had fun last year with this. They better allow you to trade "gold" card for a "silver" card this year though, that was dumb that you couldn't last year.

Why remove it, that doesn't make sense. I just don't get a statement like that. If you got your way, then all of those people who do enjoy it will be upset. If you don't like then don't use it.
