NCAA Football 13 News Post

Due to concerns of the lack of field degradation (specifically on white jerseys) in the NCAA Football 13 demo, EA Sports has tweeted an image, showing it off in the game. For those of you not seeing any field degradation, it is likely tied to the quarter length.

third year in a row it's becoming routine, didn't get fixed last year holding out hope this year, has something to do with the HDR lighting.

It was fine in NCAA 11.

Just played a game in the rain to test, and white shirts and pants definitely get dirty. It takes longer than non-white, which is odd, but at least they get dirty in the rain.

Both pictures taken in the 3rd quarter.

However, in a rainy game, the field stays nice and green the entire time. Oh well.

EA lied to us again this is NOT fixed in ncaa13 i just played a game south carolina at georgia(natural grass) i was wearing white jerseys w/ black pants playing 10 min quarters in clear weather...Lattimore had 32 carries for 133 yards...by the end of the game his pants were covered in stains and absolutely nothing on his jersey...there were some scuffs on his helmet...but still NO DEGRADATION ON WHITE UNIS

not sure why many of you are saying they lied, they never really told the truth about it. Ea likes to deflect the question which they are good at. The uniform problem has been an issue since last year, yet nothing has been done to fix it, it makes no sense why colored uniforms get dirty faster than white uniforms. i really did expect more from ncaa 13 and so far looks like another let down from a company that takes no pride in their work, and seems to be lazy and ignorant.

thanks for the screenshots guys seems to be a lot of hit n miss on this. judging from the screenshots it's definitely a step up from last year but not as good as 11, oh well maybe next year we will get maddens uniform degradation. still going to try my best to see this get patched

I really just don't understand how this is a problem ever year!

# 107 madman112 @ 07/08/12 03:23 PM
we this isa problem becasue we are ncaa beta testers every year. Ea biggest worry is makin the game and getting money, and worry about anything else after. its just being lazy on their part. i had high hopes for the game, but as more info comes out its just the sad reality that ea just does not care.

I agree. Absolutely unbelievable this is happening again. I had convinced myself that I would be satisfied with NCAA13 if it was just NCAA12 with all the bugs fixed. So much for that.

I posted some pictures earlier. White get dirty in rain/snow games, but it seems that is it.

Last night I set up a game with 8 minute quarters and heavy snow. I set one team for all white uniforms, and the other with black jerseys and white pants. Up until halftime all I noticed was mud on the black jerseys, but then started to see some slight darkening of the white uni's and a few light mud splotches. By the end of the game the black jerseys were filthy, but white uni's still were just slightly darker with a few light splotches. Must be the lighting engine.

dont be so sure. i thought that was gonna be the case in '12 when it was broken after release patch. guess what....never happened....and now it still lives to be a pest in '13. told yall it wasnt gonna be fixed since they never acknowledged it as a real problem. sidestepping questions and answering only part of the question told me all i needed to know about the status of this fix.

oh well im done with ncaa until next gen when theyre forced to start over or they get a new dev team thats not this lazy and could care less about its customers getting shafted. haumiller and company is a JOKE! sad part is this game is so bad, i didnt even want it free for my bday. opting for a madden preorder instead LOL! not saying madden is perfect, but has more attn to detail, less bugs, and theyre actually trying to better the game by far. not just slapping in a few minor changes, heisman challenge, then smiling on cam and telling me its the best and to go spend $60. hope more of u follow suit and speak with your wallets. never gonna get quality if ppl still blindly throw money out for this garbage heap.

i guess ll we can hope for now is a patch to fix it but knowing ea patchs they break somthing else when it comes to this game.

Just played a game with ten minute quarters and saw little degradation on the white jerseys and plenty on the home teams red jerseys. How many years in a row has this been broken? I'm a bit worried that this won't be patched being that they posted a pic of white jerseys with degradation. Not sure why we aren't seeing it???? Maybe we have to play 15 minute quarters to see sufficient degradation on white jerseys?
