NCAA Football 13 News Post

"Transfer failed" errors single-handedly ruined the Online Dynasty mode in NCAA Football 12.

An online dynasty I participated in died in the middle of our second season because the commissioner could not advance the league without getting an error message. Even the online league I ran eventually got stuck in a bowl week and was blocked from advancing by an unremitting "transfer failed" error.

EA Tiburon could not diagnose these errors properly, and as a result, the company was unable solve them for NCAA Football 12.

The development team claims to have corrected last year's Online Dynasty issues for NCAA Football 13.

Additionally, should any future bugs occur, EA Tiburon has added an "incident identification number," which will tell the developers the exact nature of any errors that are occur in-game.

Knowing exactly what's going wrong should allow the NCAA Football team to produce quicker fixes to any future problems that arise.

Do you think online dynasties will indeed be more stable this year?

Well, that was fairly disappointing I must say. I don't even know what the online dynasty selection even looks like in the main menu lol. NEVER touched it.

I'm not trying to trash the author of this thread but I really think this is weak sauce. Really weak sauce. What happened in NCAA 12 was inexcusable and I shouldn't have to look forward to a mode working properly, that should go without saying.

Well, im sure no one cares but having the ability to do an entier offseason online is my #1 reason im happy i got this game, thats a huge step forward imo, but y'all know what happens with new features in ea games in its first year...

# 24 Hooe @ 06/25/12 08:09 AM
I agree with the sentiment of some posters in this thread that a game feature working as advertised should be an expectation, not a reason to get excited.

# 25 OtherMoon2 @ 06/25/12 10:11 AM
The #1 reason should be one that wraps-up someones argument as-to why someone should by the game. The sum of reason #1 look like this "Well...we think it will work. BUT if it doesn't, we have #'s that will tell us why."

# 26 misterbroom12 @ 06/25/12 02:24 PM
So that's what EA Tiburon has come to?
"Buy our game, it shouldn't come standard with any game ruining errors!" *
* - Disclaimer, it may still do so, but we came up with a way to help diagnose what we believe will be numerous problems so we can lie to you individually at a later date that we are working on it.

what i wanna know is how they could spend all this time on a NEW mode (heisman mode) when the heart of there game floundered like this last year...if online dynasty was tight last year and it ran smooth , then i could say yea maybe. but the fact is we dont even know if it is truly fixed this year and wont know till july sooo ...we will see... but if it isnt shame on them for creating another gameplay mode

this shouldnt be the #1 reason to be excited ....if a game mode is included in the game it better work or it should be considered false advertisement and grounds for a full refund

From reading this thread, I find it unbelievable how many people don't play in an online dynasty. Literally a solid 50% of the reason I buy the game.

I love it, but yeah, I remember reading somewhere a while back that only a small fraction of the overall community play OD. In fact it was far, far behind offline dynasty and RTG in a recent poll on the game's Facebook page asking what mode fans would play most.

I'd love to play OD, but because of my internet (Hughes Net which is satellite) I can't.

I am kind of shocked as well. Even for people that do single person offline dynasties, I don't understand why you wouldn't do it within the online dynasty framework just to get access to the recruiting and roster on the OD websites. OD has been without fail my only game mode (outside of the occasional play now lobby game) since it came out.

I tried that but found it was just easier and quicker to play offline

Clearly we've lowered our expectations when this is the #1 reason to be "excited" lol.

i guess next year the #1 reason for NCAA 14 will be : dynasty works now?

this thread was ironic wasn't it?

Ok, I get it. You do not like this game. Why bump a thread that was nearly a month old? What point are you trying to make other than "lolEA". It's petty, stupid, and unneeded. Seems like that is par for the course recently.

In fairness to him, he's only referencing the fact that offline dynasty is having so many freezing issues. I don't think he doesn't like the game, he's been active in the Freeze Threads trying to find a fix so he can play.

I've seen him in a smattering of other threads being basically an unhelpful prick. Unless there is another user with a very similar name...

i don't feel the need to be an ea apologist, and that they released a bug ridden mess of a game is indefensible, that they've ignored it is worse

Apparently you don't feel the need to adhere to the warning you received a week ago either.

Stop going out of your way to do things like this (bump an old thread only "gloat" or whatever your intentions were).

If you don't like the game, sell it and move on. If you keep this up, you won't find yourself posting on the forum much longer.
