Apart from the clunky, jumpy animations (still), this game appears to be shaping up to be something special. Those videos show the important difference between this game and FIFA (and I'm a huge FIFA 12 fan). The CPU in FIFA is all straight attack: no play buildup, no attack variety, just grab the ball, run up the pitch and shoot. PES appears to have real and actual attack buildup and variety. Crossed fingers hoping this year is the real deal finally.

That lack of build up play is one thing that really sets Fifa back even though I do play it more than PES because of the animations. I really hope PES 2013 improves on the animations this year.

Someone from Konami said that there can't be a big improvement in the animations visually because they are now using the maximum capacity of their engine, something that will change when next year they are going to use a new one.

QFT.This engine cannot provide smoother animations. They're now working on Fox Engine which will make a debut next year. It's still not confirmed if the new engine will firstly appear in Autumn 2013 on PC platform and in 2014 on PS3/X360 as it requires next-gen console systems.

I love Fifa, but PES is the title that really tries to revolutionize. They just keep ssetting themselves up with thoes animations and menu system (I cant be the only 1 right)

Game looks good I love seeing the the Terry Fish Dive at the end of the first video clip. I read somewhere that the "Fish Dive" from Terry is a rare occurrence which is good. Overall, I am not expecting too much of an improvement from PES 2012 (Especially animations) but I am hoping I can be proven wrong.
