2. Shelby Miller, Starting Pitcher, St. Louis Cardinals

In The Show, Miller will strike out quite a few batters per game, while minimizing homers. He ranks second on many pitching prospect lists, and at 21, projects to have a great career.

That said, his real stats thus far in 2012 are a bit mixed. Batters are hitting .291 off of him, but he's got 48 strike outs in 40 innings.

Have you pitched with Miller in The Show? How did he fare?

Miller is always average for me. About 7-7, 12-12. ERA hovering around 4. I feel like he never reaches his full potential with me.

Same here. I usually prefer Carlos Martinez to Miller, as he seems to fulfill his potential better. I don't know why, but Miller's velocity is a D when he starts out, while Martinez has a B. I don't know if that makes a difference long-term, though.

I just made a big trade in my Angels Franchise.

Dan Haren to St Louis for Lance Lynn and Shelby Miller

If you let Miller develop properly within your organization then he becomes a twenty game winner and posts close to 200 strikeouts after about 3 years in the majors. While i've noted that even though his velocity rating is at a D, he still brings pretty good heat and complements it with two plus pitches with his curveball and changeup however to get those strikeouts you have to set those pitches up just because they are not overwhelming by any means.

Love pitching with Shelby. Always a hell of a ball player for me.

I made a trade for Shelby in my brewers franchise. So far after 5 starts he is 3-1 with a 2.98 era and 27 k's. He is actually better vs left handed hitters since his 2 fastballs move away from the hitter, he's a fun guy to pitch with. These type of articles are great to view and read, keep them up!

So Julio Teheran of the Atlanta Braves must be no.1 right.

^^ LOL!

I believe it should be either a guy in Washington or LA...

Woops. And as for Miller, he surely scares me as a Brewers fan. He will be dirty in due time. In my pitchers RTTS, me and match up often (both aces in NL Central teams) and it is always a battle!

Bra, Werth and Pujols are way past their prime. I was thinking it's either Amazega for the Cubs or Jaime Moyer.
