The warp you are seeing is a camera change to the celebration scriptable, you won't see players just appear out of no where like that.

This is just a marketing video made with a special tool in a pre alpha game is all.

Idk, maybe its just me but they sounded loudest around 10-5 yards and then quiet slightly as he crosses.

Man August 28th seems like such a LONG ways away, doesn't help that everyone has to criticize EVERY single detail in these pre-alpha screens and videos. I want to post E3 videos but I can only imagine the level of criticism that will happen then.

I haven't seen it mentioned, but I would be more than willing to bet that they cut out either new scenes or possible graphic overlays because those new details (of whatever was cut) have not been released yet to the public.

EA just wanted to give a quick nod to Tebowing being in the game, it's not like it was a big video release day or anything.
Kane699, 3 post above yours, #27, explains it. He works for EA or the last time I knew, he did.

Just an FYI.

this.

absolutely hilarious that people are nit picking everything in this video. basically, they're showing you the tebowing. anything other than that, i refuse to comment on because it's so blatantly, obviously not "final code that's going to be in the game so we immediately need to worry about everything"

I feel like if the clip was of Tebow scoring and then Tebowing on the sideline this thread would be exactly the same. And nobody would be praising how authentic it is.

Hmm maybe I am crazy but when he drops the ball the way it bounces and rolls. I don't know that just looks different to me.

In a good way.

I did preview all three runs before posting them and in the run in 2010, he carries it like a loaf of bread for 10 yds.

I can't recall on the second run, but on the third run, he carries it like a loaf of bread for 15 yds.

I was merely pointing that he does carry it like a loaf of bread, sometimes, the poster I quoted said he always carries it like a HB, which we've discovered isn't true.

From the poster I quoted: Tebow doesn't run like that, regardless of the other QB's in the league. Why they couldn't have just given him a HB run animation blows my mind.

He does run like that, sometimes.

And, sorry, before today, count me as one that didn't know he "tebowed" on the sidelines vs after TD's.

Guess I'm in the minority.

So this is the main marketing play for Madden this year? Cadences and Tebowing...

EA's big marketing play is going to be whatever they show us on June 4th at E3, last year it was DPP, this year it will be related to Gameplay and Career Modes. As of today, Jim Nantz and Phil Simms are by far the most marketed part of Madden 13 by EA.

I don't agree.. I dont really like how the running animation still looks.. Something is still not right.. He still looks hunchback while running, not just him but all the players in Madden still do. He needs to run upright while hitting his strides. The only time he should look hunchback is when he is hitting a hole or accelerating to a burst of speed, then when the player hits their stride, they should look more upright while running.. Please EA, get it right for once! For goodness sake what does it take to get it right?? Look at some game footage or something.. Tired of the same running animations every year?? I just dont understand why it takes EA so long to get something right? Who is in charge of animations? im curious..

Is it too late in development to change the QB ballcarrying style to a normal tuck or not? When forced to scramble, Pocket QBs like Brady, Brees, Rodgers, and Manning (both) almost always tuck the ball normally.

I showed 2 videos, 3 runs of Tebow carrying the ball IRL like a loaf of bread on post #24. If he does IRL, why not in the game?

Therefore it shouldn't be a default running animation for non-RBs, WRs, TEs, & FBs anymore. If you didn't know about the Tebowing not being done in the endzone you may not know about that as well.

But of course QBs are going to just have the ball in their throwing hand untucked until they've made the decision to run which is typically a few yards past the LOS. Tebow did tuck the ball every player except for the run were he only ran 6 yards for a TD since the play was so close to LOS anyway.

Here's the post I was talking about with all the current QBs (mostly pocket QBs) tucking the ball running with no intention to pass...it's a long on with a lot of photo examples so I'll just post the direct link instead of quoting.

PGaither's post
Nah, I know that it shouldn't be a default animation, but in the Madden video, he's running untouched and with no one near him.

Again, someone said he doesn't run with the ball like that, all I did was find a few videos when Tebow didn't tuck the ball all the time beyond the LOS. Am I wrong in seeing what I'm seeing?

Heck, with Rodger's being a double threat, I've seen him carry the ball plenty of times beyond the LOS like a loaf of bread.

I'm not saying all QB's carry the ball that way, I'm saying some do, some of the time.

I agree with you on that. Question is could this mean some good ball physics this year. Hoping that is true. I watch the video like a few different times. Seeing the ball roll around. Instead of it just been dropped and stop moving like a rock or something. Hope this means something when it comes to fumbles and all. I guess we will find out soon enough.

I know one thing Madden 13 looks freakin gorgeous. The lighting is great and I feel like run animation looks slightly better, the only thing that did bug me was Tebow coming to a stop so quickly, other than that this was pretty impressive.

# 37 NikeBlitz @ 05/24/12 05:09 AM
I like the fact that he's holding the ball (unlike M12). Graphically : Stunning !!

# 38 TreyIM2 @ 05/24/12 06:47 AM
When I seen the pic of this the other day, I thought, "I think Tebow only does this on the sideline after a score?" and now I see this vid - No bueno. It also brings attention to the running animation issue again, for me - No bueno. Can't wait for next gen but I'll try to enjoy the other improvements to Madden in 13.

TERRIBLE video. From the wonky run, to the disjointed (and out of place) Tebowing, and then the teammate coming in pretending he's an airplane. The whole thing is comical to me.

This gives me every reason to utterly destroy the Jets in my franchise.

# 40 Tyrant8RDFL @ 05/24/12 08:32 AM
Tim doesnt really hold the ball exposed that way once he passes the line of scrimmage.
Here is the drive he had against the Jets, and you will witness numerous times when ever he passes the line of scrimamge he tucks the ball very nicely, and even places it in the correct arm to protect it better.

Here is a video of tebow highlight s for the 2011 season. If this kid can be more consistant with his accuracy. He will be a major problem for dfenses in the NFL. I can see why the Jets took a chance on him. If they can get his accuracy consistant. They have a winner in their hands.
