Is it better to insult folks though? Why not just disagree or ignore the post?
Everyone's opinion is ridiculous to someone.
Agee with this bigitme. I think some of us in here need a better way of expressing how we disagree with someones opinion, and not be disrespectful about it.
Do the CD people EVER point out to the Madden devs how generic and robotic players look and move after plays... This dance looks way too stiff btw... and slow
No man EA just brings a bunch of fanboys to CD who aren't anywhere near as smart as you
Oh yea because this HASN'T been an issue in EVERY Madden this Gen. CD MUST HAVE POINTED IT OUT BY NOW!! *Stoneface* Anyway, like I said. This has been a problem for a while. And although I appreciate the effort to replicate what is seenon sundays, if its going to look as stiff and generic as this i'd rather it just be kept out.
Just because the CD guys pointed it out in the past doesn't mean that EA has agreed. I think what you will begin to see is a lot of changes in this area and people need to realize that it's because they have a new development team, not because the CD guys all the sudden realized what was wrong. The CD guys this year were very honest with the development team and based on the response of the CD guys, it seems like EA has listened and we will be getting a lot of improvements. Listen to GameChangers radio tonight if you want to know what kind of things are talked about at CD. They will be having a roundtable discussion, these are the most common talked about items on there. Footplanting, realistic player movement, cb/wr interaction, ol/dl interaction, multiple network presentations, and before Madden 12 they talked about the removal of suction blocking/tackling.
What they need to put in is a "transition" animation so that as soon as he's done dancing he doesn't immediately go into the exact same "zombie walking off the field" animation that the other 21 players are in.

Bruh, you don't have to defend Madden/EA/CD guys at every turn. Relax a little.
Bring back the days when you scored a touchdown you can choose your celebration with the a,b,y,x, buttons and they do different celebrations acording to what button you push. salsa dance though looks bad.
Giants fans should just be pleased it made it in. It's not perfect, but I think it's certainly better than nothing (as long as they can smooth out the transition from dance animation to after-dance animation anyway).
I'd take it in a heartbeat, though. Us Niners fans will never get to see Vernon Davis jump up on a camera box after a big score (I'd gladly take the penalty if the game actually allowed us to do it).
Custom stadium celebration was a awesome feature in NFL 2k5. I like the idea of player specific celebrations that Madden is currently working on, but generic custom celebrations would be sweet to mix it up (or for players that don't get their own celebration in the game). I liked 2k's system of having a custom celebration of your choice mapped to each controller button. Another cool option would be a hand off the football to a ref celebration(no celebration) aka Barry Sanders. This would cover all personalities and add more realism to the game.
And this (handing it to the ref). I usually import Joe Montana from NCAA (I put historic guys on ncaa and see where they get drafted on Madden), and if I get a running TD, it always looks funny to see him doing a wacky celebration that he never would have done.
