The first two videos don't work for me, what are they of? The audio playbook had a little in-game commentary and hits. The stats for Luis Castillo at 3:35 looks hideous though!! Not sure why they are failing at this scorebug and stats. Looks unprofessional.

Did you not see they changed the scorebug?

I did, but I mean their decisions originally. This is with the older scoreburg. I just don't see how they could think it looks good. I didn't see the stats listed under the scoreburg until now, and now I kind of regret it, because it's absolutely hideous.

I really liked the second video. They did commentaries based off different scenarios. Let's hope this translate well into franchise mode!

"You didn't think that the team was able to rally behind the backup at all huh?"
"The reality was they missed the star running back. His talent..."

Anybody else curious as to why today was the 'Audio Playbook' but it seemed like they didn't really show us a whole lot more of Nantz and Simms than we had already seen?

I've loved what I've heard from them so far but I was expecting to hear a lot more in terms of Nantz-Simms commentary today.

Would be nice to see player specific talking instead of them being so generic.

They didnt seem to have life, it sounds kinda dull. On the Carson Palmer sack fumble td, there was no mention of a fumble. It should have went more like this "Palmer drops back to pass, the pressure is on him quickly,he's sacked and fumbles the ball. The defense recovers for a td" something along those lines would have given the play more life/emotion. This is football not a dry eye commercial.

It is very hard to call a football game from a small room with a script in front of you and not a 70,000 people stadium rocking back and forth.

Im gonna be optimistic here and say that I think they are just holding back the good stuff because they want it to be fresh when we play the game. overall it seems to me as if they have at least put in a pretty good effort here audio wise and I look forward to hearing the finished product.

I think the audio part of Madden this year will be good. But people have to remember that there is only so much they can do in a studio. Yes Phil and Jim might sound robotic at times. But I feel that they will be the best announcer team since Madden/Summerall. Over the next few years Madden audio will get better and better. I think this is the beginning of something good. Can't wait to hear all these sounds put together. I believe it will sound good at E3 this year. Hoping for the best.

I dont want to hear "Takes the snap from the shotgun, he throws over the middle, (which it wasnt the middle ), Touch down " He sounded dead when he said touchdown.

I want to hear " Vick takes the snapped looks over to his left throwsssssssssss TOUCHDOWN!!!!! Jackson makes the catch between two defenders, and now the eagles take the lead 20-14.!!!!!" Something like that More detailed to the teams and players involved in the play and game.

Everything that I' am hearing is very generic. Like" Thats the fourth time they sacked the QB"

How about naming the Qb who has been sacked 4 times in the game, and how the offensive line is being abused by the chargers defensive front.

It's going to be better than last year, but again - last year was horrid. I got through the first video and most of the second, and still hadn't heard much personalized - was all comments on static/generic situations, not much dynamic. It's going to be better if only because there's no way it can be worse than M12.

I'm laughing because I keep hearing the sound guys talk about "that's when the magic happens" in different vids lol. I appreciate they're getting the commentary to a level where it's competent, but there's nothing I've heard so far that's anywhere close to being magical. Again, would be better if it weren't being hyped.

i totally agree with you... one thing that can be guaranteed is that it will be much better than recent previous years..just that alone makes me happy but i think audio will sound much more complete and great in the final product once they get it all seamed together and working as it should..right now all we are getting are snippets of what will be in the final product..so far i am liking what i am hearing and they got two of my favorite play-by-play guys.. simms and nantz so im really excited to see EA improve the audio dept this year to a great degree.

Agreed. I also just think their in-game likenesses and voices alone add so much to the experience. Really does make it feel like watching a game on a Sunday.

eh..commentary only goes so far...even The Show is painfully repetitive after a few dozen games.....what I'm really looking forward to is the 5.1 remix using player sounds/crowd sounds.....after a few games of commentary I'll likely just turn off Jim/Phil anyway & listen as if I'm down on the field....of course this assumes there is no crackling/popping in the PS3 version again.

Yah. See nobody would say this in real life. You'd say "they have 4 sacks today"... It's just bad writing- because who else are you gonna sack? The WR?
