NCAA Football 13 News Post

For those that have asked about it. According to Justin Dewiel, Community Manager at EA Sports, NCAA Football 13 will not feature in-game saves.

If it's not in NCAA Football 13, odds are it won't be in Madden NFL 13 either.

That saddens me, but doesn't damper my interest.

As a married father, whose life often leaves little (and sporadic) time for gaming, this greatly disappoints me. Frankly, unless there are dramatic advancements, this is a dealbreaker for me.

It's not that big a deal but I have to wonder why something like this that has been on community wish lists for maybe 5 years hasn't been put in yet?

Sure it might not matter some people, but it's another last-gen feature that has yet migrate to the current-gen...seven years later. Especially since it's been on the community wishlist for a while now. This feature seems like it's pretty standard across sports gaming...and gaming in general. Not an intelligent move by EA Sports...

I can't understand why they can't or won't get this in the game. I still like everything I'm hearing but, I just don't get it. I have this game called Hardball 95 for Sega. One of the things I always loved about it was in game saves. Nba 2k12 and every other game I play have in game saves. I would play much more and I wouldn't have to leave my 360 running as much if they would just add this.

I wish they could include quarter saves, so if you were in the 3rd quarter in 9min quarters you could save and come back. In game saves are not a priority for me, but I know a part of the community wants them. Even something as basic as a save option at half would be good Incase there was a break wanted.

Not going to lose any sleep over it.

This is annoying, but not a deal breaker for me. I hate that I can only place these games at night when the kids are in bed because they take almost an hour and without in-game saves, there's no way I can play/finish them with the little ones running around.

This is a feature that should be implemented into EA's sports games. Dont they understand that alot of their gamers, are older and have more responsibilities.
EA LISTEN UP!!!!!!!!!!!! i

This is a standard feature in almost every major sports game release except EA's. It's to the point where it's no longer acceptable. This may be a deal breaker for me at this point.

Being able to pause it a little bit is not what I'm talking about. When your busy and have kids and a family you play when you can. I don't always have an hour plus for a game. If I could play the first half then finish later in the day or even the next day. It's not like this is a new or rare thing to have in a game. Every other game I play from Mass Effect to NBA 2k12 have this feature. Again I will be getting this game and will like it. I just don't understand how everyone else but, EA has in game saves.

Not at all. It's tougher and tougher for me to commit the hour or so to play a full game. I am strictly on offline dynasty player, and if I can't complete a game, why buy the game?

Again, this is a standard feature in just about every if not every non-EA Sports sports game release. No excuse not to have it any longer.

You have to be kidding me!!!! Once again EA fails to incorporate features from previous generations. Too the people who say "Not a big deal" or " just pause the game", do you pay other people's electric bills? No excuse...NO EXCUSE why PSX and PS2 versions of this game had in-game saves but a game in it's 7 iteration doesn't have this feature.

People should not be content with this saying "AHHH not a big deal". Too people with families this is a big deal and will lead to them cutting the game off due to not being able to save mid-game.

Hopefully EA/Tiburon addresses this issue for their first release on PS4/XBOX 720.

Ok, I wanted it, Not a big deal it isn't in...BUT...I do wonder...why has this been asked for, for years and still not even an explanation why it cannot/hasn't been added.

i guess Motion Blur ate up a sizeable portion of the budget...

and who is still pausing a game in 2012? With how consoles are overheating and whatnot, i wouldnt even try it. I know it doesnt seem to happen as frequent as it used to but c'mon...

for those of you bashing the people that want in game saves, imagine playing a game like Skyrim without them...im sure you would change your tune then...

This is a downer. Add me to the list of someone who has trouble finding a solid 90 minutes straight to play a dynasty game. Whether it is trying to fit in a game around my young daughter's schedule, or being able to stay up at night to get a game in, it's getting harder to find the time.

This is definitely frustrating and sad that they still have not implemented this into almost all of their sports games. Tiger Woods PGA has it, not sure if any of the other ones do.

Right. Because pausing a game and leaving a console on for 24-48 hours makes a lot of sense. Good call.

I'm surprised there's still people hoping to see this feature implemented. I've been so disenchanted by EA that I didn't even have it in my wishlist for this year.. It's amazing how one of the must have feature for grown-up gamers is regularly neglected by EA. year in year out.
