This game always looks and plays very sluggish. This year looks no different. Madden feels loose and my players aren't stuck to the ground. Maybe it's just me....
I thought it was kind of strange that Alabama had 4 players leaving early, but none of them were projected into the top 3 rounds of the draft. It seems like that should be less common. I know you can talk the guys down, but who knows what the CPU will do in that situation.
I know some guys just leave, but most won't go unless they are top talents.
I disagree with "most only go if they are top talents" here is the list of the underclassman in this years draft. http://content.usatoday.com/communities/thehuddle/post/2012/01/stanford-qb-andrew-luck-leads-list-of-65-underclassmen-into-2012-nfl-draft/1#.T6ii4FIh4jE
The thing is some guys get bad advice and enter the draft cause their "friends" get their heads big.
I'm liking the new additions to Dynasty. In-game updates with Rece Davis! The dynamic score ticker at the bottom of the screen is a much-needed addition.
Looks like NCAA 13 has some OS fingerprints on them. I bet if ID'd, they'd belong to Christian
As someone that enjoyed NCAA 12, despite all the tendency bug issues, I'm now officially intrigued by NCAA 13.
I swear sometimes I feel like it's impossible to please you guys...
I for one am excited about these updates and I'm looking forward to delving into another OD with my buddies and actually ENJOYING the game instead of sitting around and bitching about things like socks being too short...

There were 44 underclassmen drafted 34 of them were drafted in the top 3 rounds. 19 in the first round with 8 in the top-10.
Basically 10 players that deserved to be drafted and decided to leave instead of improving their stock. 4 from the same team like in the video still seems like too much.
Many of the undrafted guys were either dismissed from their teams or players with no chance to play the following year.
Sigh....This might get me a little excited if the game play wasnt so horrible. Whats the point in having cut away updates with no highlights? They could have just stuck with the ticker... Oh well atleast they're trying to expand on presentation.

Quick question. How do we know that they're not cutting away to highlights? The video was kind of short and vague about that.
If they don't, it would be such a lost opportunity though. Real-time highlights makes dynasties FEEL SO ALIVE! We've been waiting for them for so long.
Whats the point in having cut away updates with no highlights?
Well, getting a solid foundation is always good. Now highlights as part of Studio Updates can be on the table for next year.
Either way, not all studio updates IRL offer highlights. Sometimes it's a quick cut, the studio analyst talks about a result briefly while the result is shown, and then cuts back to the game.
It's a huge improvement than what was currently in the game regarding a living world, IMO.

To show the stats and put a spotlight on particular games? I'd love video highlights too, but I have seen ESPN do cut-always to just those graphics before, particularly when they update on multiple games at once or a game that had just started or just ended.
OK so people are still ungrateful ... I mean they added mid game updates(even tho there are no hightlights) which are great in MY OPINION and they have the ESPN ticker added .... EA did a GREAT job on ncaa/madden 13 this year if ur not goin 2 accept it then why come on the forum and say u dont like the game ..... its like sayin u dont like LeBron James but keep followin every thing he does

So don't come in and post unless you like it? You realize most changes we do get are from those posts that point out issues and concerns/wants...
When I see upgrades to the actual on field gameplay I'll get more excited.
I want EA to succeed like no other. I really really do! I'm hoping this years version reels me back in. We'll see.
Are you really bitching about that? Did you ever think maybe there isnt enough room for it? It would take up alot of space. One reason i think dynasty should be on a stand alone disk
How is he bitching? I know saying this is beating a dead horse but are you aware that highlights of other games were in NFL2k5 LAST GEN? This is something that can be done. Maybe it will come at some point.
I have high hopes for the commentary overhaul this year. I think the graphics look good, and I think there is still more to come. Get rid of the transfer fail messages and I can deal with the rest.
I was mainly talkin about a couple post I ssee where they say its the SAME OLE GAME
Ok fair enough. They are adding some things as far as presentation and dynasty stuff, so yeah it's not same ole same ole.
So yeah the game is getting additions but if it's the same gameplay(which I believe/hope it won't be) then I could care less about dynasty/recruiting upgrades.
Can't wait to see some real gametime vids
Has there ever been a game that's done mid-game highlights for other games? I've played that other game pretty extensively, and I don't remember anything like that. I looked up some youtube videos and it only seems like other-game highlights happen during the weekly recap, which would make perfect sense, since the game would have to load textures/etc for another game and generate a random highlight. I have no idea how they could do that without a load that is about as long as loading a new game. The texture memory (not disk space) is far too constrained. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that we never see anything quite like that, as developers would almost always rather use that texture memory for what's on the field as opposed to anything else.
I think the studio updates are a very good compromise. It still gives you something else from the game, but it doesn't kill the flow of the game with a load or an extended video. In videogame football you don't have the 30-40 seconds between plays or the 2 minutes/commercials breaks for timeouts and changes of possession, so you can't do too much on the fly.
They do need to work more on Rece, though. His audio is not nearly as clean as Nessler's.
It's hard to believe the short memory of so many. '12 was egregious. Sure, '13 looks promising, but I hope no one has already pre-ordered this game. Make EA earn it for once. Let's see if things like online dynasty actually work this year.
