Madden NFL 13 News Post

Click here for the hi-res Madden NFL 13 screenshot.

April 5, 2012 – EA SPORTS today unveiled the first Madden NFL 13 screenshot showcasing new Nike uniforms. The EA SPORTS development team was granted early access to the new designs of the NFL uniforms and used this insight to meticulously recreate the Nike clothing in Madden NFL 13.

The Madden NFL 13 development team has been working closely with Nike and the NFL to ensure that all in-game uniforms are identical to their real-world counterparts. EA SPORTS was given access to the earliest Nike templates, and the two companies have had numerous meetings, working closely together to ensure complete authenticity in Madden NFL 13.

Graphics look fluid as usual, hopefully the gameplay will be this year as well. Looking forward to bringing my draft class over from NCAA to make Washington and RG3 the "FUTURE"!!!

Why can't Madden get their head out their A$$ and make a decent football game. **** hire me and ill make the damn game! Ever herd of a better Passing System? Like using both analogs to throw. The Left to target the receiver and the right to decide what type of throw it is? Dont even let me get started about the rating system. Just letting you know Donny Moore the rating system is 0-99 not 70-99. Your missing 4about 60+ numbers just letting know. EA SUCKS! Though until you get another nfl game out there it will be the only one.... SCREW YOU MADDEN! Thank you and that is al
lol this exact same response is in espn's article comments section. I for 1 like the collars *shrugs* its the teams choice, they could have used a different jersey cut. I love looking at the different jersey cuts while playing. I tended to play w/ Adidas schools in NCAA because I liked the way they looked in-game.

NBA2K is the only title representing a major sport that has tattoos. Madden/NCAA doesn't, The Show/MLB2K doesn't, FIFA doesn't, and NHL doesn't. So no, every game doesn't have freaking tats.

I believe the MMA games and WWE games have tattoos.

NBA Jam might? I've never looked that closely.

Do you see tats in a normal gameflow telecast? I don't even notice them until they zoom in on a player. Not to mention NBA has 10 guys on the floor at a time. Where NFL has to supports 22.

EA Sports please work on setting the bar for sports gameing...right now 2k is kicking your arse, Sony is kicking your arse and THQ has joined the mixed. All mentioned offer graphics, gameplay, sounds of the event, replayabilty and most of all build upon the following year. Why must we suffer thru another lackluster effort in 13.

I don't think you read the beginning of this thread. A mod stated this thread needs to stay on topic and not discuss anything else but the new uniforms.

Just an FYI.

Oh, God. That is literally the most awful idea I've ever heard. Remember when that guy made that Kony2012 video and then promptly used his newfound fame to go out in the street and masturbate? That was nowhere near as bad as the idea you just suggested. I am ashamed to be a fan of the same team as you. The worst part is, you seem to think that this should be obvious, because obviously needing to move while standing in the pocket isn't a thing that QBs ever do.

The Show does have tattoos on some of the players. Check Prince Fielder and Carl Crawford as I'm sure they both have their neck tats. Only thing is you can't add tats to existing or created players

Visuals/Graphics were never the problem in Madden except for a few missing items and facemasks. Looks good as always.

I've never seen an NFL picture IRL where the grass was so visible. On TV the grass looks like cement, until it gets kicked up. Even on close-ups, it isn't so high and well-defined. On the NCAA video also, the grass was up to the player's ankle, which looks ridiculous.

Definitely agree about tats. It's weird they are not in.
It's the NFL's decision not to put them in. "Brand conscious".........

Except it looks better. I would love for Ncaa jerseys in game and teambuilder to look like this. Ncaa may have better lighting but madden has more defined uniforms. Why wont they just work together. But yeah you right it looks like teambuilder.

How do you translate pictures of the new uniforms, which by contract needed to be put into the game, as a lackluster effort? The art department is separate from the game coders. We have no idea what the improvements are yet.

Yes I'm quoting myself. I want to clarify that my "meh" was to indicate indifference. The graphics look good as always but the re-skinning of the uniforms don't look like an improvement over last year. At least that was my first impression. Upon seeing more images, it looks like they made some lighting changes to the uniforms which look really good. So kudos to the art department at EA.
