MLB 2K12 News Post

2K Sports has posted their final MLB 2K12 Developer Diary today, as Senior Producer Mark Little, goes over the new MLB Today season mode.

The regular season started earlier today in Japan. This Developer Diary gives everyone a good look at what to expect in the new mode.

Quote:
A great advantage of this mode is that you can choose which games you want to play and the rest follows along with the real world. All the roster updates, injuries and trades are managed through our Living Season Roster updates so your job is simply to choose which days you want to play, get into the game and win.

Along with the basic stats that you can see on the home page, we also allow you to look deeper into the impact your games have had on the stats for your team. You can access a Player Stats screen that shows you how the stats compare between your MLB Today Season results and the real world results. We also have a League Leaders screen that shows you how your play has changed the League Leaders in various stat categories. Obviously there may be a little bit of difference or a really huge difference depending on how many games you have played and how different your game results were from the real world results for the game.

wow
they still make these?
lol
thanks for hunting this down Steve. I'll be playing this for sure [as the Mets].

i like this part about franchise mode in the game this year:

Quote:
Based on our user feedback, we increased the possible variation in the attendance levels for teams in Franchise mode to ensure that the small market teams are better differentiated from the rest of the teams. This means that if you pick some of the teams with lower attendance you have a chance to grow your market and next year revenue through a good season performance.

To say in this blog you guys re-wrote the AI Manager logic (especially around pitcher's) , yet the issue really plagues the game leaves a bad taste in the mouth of your fan base...

You have a good game on your hands. Please patch this issue..

Thanks
