They are trying to get the old time player feel for some of the brim curves.
It looks overdone because the brim looks a bit too big.

I really wish that edit player showed the the player in the home uniforms like other games so you could get a better feel when picking out equipment colors.

We would love to do this but it won't happen any time soon. Takes up to much memory.

I agree. New designs, like Buster Posey's Under Armour gear or Jonathan Lucroy's All Star gear.

Which is the option that was the default for past years with the brim? Semi-flat or normal?

Roy's is pretty curved:

And Oswalt's:

Although I think the video looks worse becasue the brim looks a bit too big, as Knight said.

I am in total love with this game. But I feel so let down when I see the bats. They have been using those bats for years... I believe on the PS2 version of the Show back then, I think MLB 08 they had Louisville Sluggers with the emblem on em. Without that damn line in the middle of the bat. In no way am I knit picking but I would have been complete if I had the option to remove that line. Maybe next year...

Is that why we don't get all the players in their team jerseys in the All Star game? oh well, I can live without that. But yeah, good work guys, I'm even more amped about march 6th now

That is exactly why.

Console makers need to be at least 8GB of ram next go round. But I doubt it will be past 4GB if we are lucky.

Derek Lowe also sports a really bent bill...thankfully i wont have to see it anymore on my Braves games!

I don't know about that. The computer I have (that we paid $350 some for, without the monitor mind you) has 8 GB of RAM, 1TB of space, and a quad core processor. Its not as expensive as it once was, so I don't think a next-gen system with 8GB of RAM is completely ot there So maybe, maybe in the future..............lol (The Power Pros series did it, but then, lets face it, that game isn't exactly as detailed as The Show, lol, still love those games though).

Seeing how marginal the RAM jumps have been every console generation, I won't hold my breath. RAM was even "cheap" when they only gave us 512MB we have now. Then create tools for fast loading and dumping into it. Which saves on cost in the end. Look at the Vita for example. It could have had more RAM. Considering a lot of phones/tablets have more and had more.

My fingers are crossed however.

Two new batting gloves, two new cleats, new sun glasses, new hat rim styles, new arm guard, able to turn shin guard inside, new compression sleeves with color options, batting gloves inside fielding glove, glasses on hats, etc.

Not this year for catcher equipment or fielding gloves.

This may be a stupid question, but I will ask anyways - Does anyone know if MLB 12 will have past players created and uploaded for MLB 11 in the Player Vault?

I think it may be possible because EA did it with Teambuilder teams, but I think that's a little different set up there.

# 38 EnigmaNemesis @ 02/29/12 03:02 PM
It's not easy at all. Having to model to all player types. All animation situations, etc.

Plus last year added new player models, which then having the stuff this year was quite fast.

Then there is coming up with art and designs from scratch that do not mirror patents on real life equipment, and not look artificial in the same respect.

Then there is coding for every player to have the different gloves and cleats from the other players on the field without breaking something else in the millions annnnddd MILLIONS of the people's code!

It is not any more "easy" or less "time consuming" than anything else in a 10 month (generous) development cycle. Especially with all the other "art" people want in other areas of the game.

What are the people that work on this area doing if they arent working on adding some new designs? Regardless of whether its easy or not, it shouldnt take 4+ years to get something in a game.

And you know this for a fact?

What makes y'all the only one that is so far behind that the addition of a fielding glove takes so long? Please enlighten me.
The first one for PS3 was what 08? So this is the 5th installment with nothing changed on the fielding glove front. Y'all have even taken out stuff that looked pretty good. Why take anything out at all? Add to it for more options.
Do you realize they only have so much space to work with right?
