They updated Lin and just left everybody else the same and they forgot to update his dunk tendency while they were at it. Why can't they just get a couple of interns who sole purpose is to watch the games and update based off stats, lineups etc. get the accesories from pictures video. This is basically what the community does. I can understand not getting the accesesories 100% correct but some of the basic lineup, rotations and shooting ratings should obviously come from how the players perform on the court across the board.
Billups STILL isn't injured? High profile player out for the year.... around 2 weeks now... and they put this out to update Lin and some other changes.
Defies explanation.
Billups is inactive, so you can't use him in online play regardless.

All of these ratings are too high. You don't get a 80 pass/78 ball security when you've had the most turnovers out of any player's first 5 starting games. Not really sure where the 78 steal came from, and offensive awareness 92 puts him in steve nash/deron williams/chris paul territory.

I don't think they were going for accuracy, they were looking to appease those flooding twitter. The types looking to recreate Lin's hot streak over the course of an entire season. Not exactly for the sim heads, but you can't say 2k doesn't listen to the community, just the casuals who jumped on the Lin bandwagon were super vocal this time. Just curious to see what happens when he inevitably hits a cold streak.
Jeremy Lin is averaging 6.8 turnovers per 48 minutes right now.
Russel Westbrook - 6.1
Deron Williams - 5.5
Steve Nash - 5.4
John Wall - 5.4
none of them too far from Lin right now, and I'm pretty positive all these guys have a slightly to vastly higher ball security rating then him... which leads me to believe that they got it about right...
4 things
1) Russell Westbrook shouldn't be included that list
2) The rest of those guys have at least a 2:1 assist turnover ratio
3) those guys have played a larger sample of games
4) Those guys have played against teams with much better defense
That's why this how special ratings update is silly. His best competitor this run was the lakers, and for some reason they let derek fisher guard him one on one (Mike brown might as well assigned a folding chair to guard him). And now he's a 75.
Let's wait until Jeremy lin plays the Heat, Bulls, or Thunder, and see what his turnovers are then.
Similar to steve nash, who is usually near the top of the league in turnovers.. and is about 2:1 assist to turnover... that's where he'll sit, because he has to have the ball so much in this system...
Nash this season has 288 assist and 97 turnovers. How does that come out to 2:1?

only thing i see being a bit off is the mid range being 80... 76-78 seemed a little more reasonable... 80 is approaching automatic with a good look... stat is 80 right now, and i still drain every good look i get from mid-range with him, on HoF/Sim online.
Lin is shooting 60% from midrange. If anything 80 is too low. But then all the guys online will be going kobe with him if you made it higher
yea... is he shooting 60% from mid-range? still... only 7 games... he hasn't even TAKEN many mid-range shots... most of his damage ,scoring wise, happens at the rim or at the line...
you were right about nash, but i still stand by the fact that you couldn't make his ball security much lower than what it is now and expect him to be able to handle the ball as much as he does in real life, in the game... no point guard should have sub 70 ball security... especially in d'antoni's system...
Yeah your point about getting ripped easily in this game makes sense. I just seen some other PG ratings that are lower then that, that I feel are better than Jeremy LIn. But again, he hasn't shown enough games to know either way.
