"2K Sports today released the first in a series of digital films for Major League Baseball 2K12 starring the AL Cy Young award winner, MVP and 2K Sports cover athlete Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers.

In the video, we find Justin Verlander and Los Angeles Angels pitcher C.J. Wilson parked outside the Perfect Club, a private club reserved for everything perfect - including past perfect game pitchers and even 2K Sports' alumni of $1,000,000 winners. Despite Justin's many accomplishments, he has yet to achieve perfection on the mound and thus is not allowed in the club. But if he tries hard enough to master the pitching controls in MLB 2K12 and throws the most perfect game in the $1,000,000 Perfect Game Challenge, then Justin might have a chance to finally get into the club.

The footage from the tv actually looked really really good but the last few large shots didnt look much different from last year.
Again, I'd like to see some gameplay, not a commercial, pretty funny though.

Not expecting that much in overall visual improvements from 2K at this point, so any small upgrades (video board player overlay, ribbon boards, etc.) will be fine. Gameplay and CPU strategy, on the other hand, has to improve drastically over last year.

That shot of A-Rod at the end hurt. Ugh. Otherwise everything looks like we expected.

Is there another link available? This one is glitching out for me (an SSX video was doing that for me last week as well)

Showing them playing with the Power A PS3 controller... interesting. Is this 2K saying they gave the PS3 version a little more love this year?

As a commercial, I liked it...thought it was pretty funny. Like everyone else though, I care more about tangible info right now.

Funny Video.... Small sample of gameplay looked good. Time for an in-depth preview.

What stands out:

Stadiums looked much improved.
CJ having a Red Pitching glove is a nice touch.
Reyes cleats matching the color of the New Miami Uniforms
New Mets throwbacks
Looks like they've added a new replay camera

I found this extremely odd. In fact, I thought it was a goof when i saw they weren't using a 360 controller.

Why, because he looks like he's 12, or because he struck out..?

Pretty funny like most 2K commercials these days of MLB, hoping to see some recent gameplay though..
