WWE '12 News Post


THQ has just released the WWE 12 title update details, which includes release dates for the title update and DLC, which includes Masked Kane.

General Gameplay
  • Fixed an issue where the ring texture would flash black or different colors
  • Addressed multiple Finisher system bugs in which players were awarded too many or too few Finishers
  • Fixed an issue where the Defender would freeze if the Right Stick was pressed in any direction while being Irish Whipped
  • Fixed an issue where two Superstars in a pin sequence swapped positions when an interfering Superstar woke the referee as he/she was standing
  • Fixed an issue where Superstars would freeze if certain running corner attacks were performed in the Royal Rumble
  • Both attacks in the Running Strikes and Running Grapples categories should now trigger consistently
  • Fixed several situations where a created Superstar’s move set was being improperly reset to default settings
  • Fixed several instances where players could Irish Whip their opponents through the Cell and/or Barricade
  • Fixed an issue that caused Superstars to freeze when a Finisher was performed
  • Sound is now working correctly after restarting a Brawl
  • Tuned pin escape mini-game in Elimination Chamber matches. Players can now escape after being hit with a Finisher.
  • Fixed a problem where tables were not properly re-spawning in Tables matches (PS3 only)
  • Fixed cameras for environmental weapons attacks
  • Various gameplay bug fixes
Universe Mode
  • Brands can now consist entirely of created Superstars. However, match card creation still requires players to use Superstars with at least one of each crowd reaction setting (‘boo’ and ‘cheer’) to properly book matches.
  • The Draft option now functions properly
  • Lowered the frequency of injuries in Universe Mode
  • Addressed issue where Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank winners were not getting their title shots at WrestleMania and/or the option to cash in Money in the Bank
  • Fixed various crashes to help improve overall stability of Universe Mode
  • Various Universe Mode bug fixes
Online
  • Made numerous improvements to help improve stability and reliability of Community Creations.
  • General stability improvements in Royal Rumble matches
Miscellaneous
  • Fixed an issue where the DLC versions of Edge and Christian’s entrance animations were replaced by Alberto Del Rio’s animations if edits were made to their music and/or mini-tron
  • Players can now edit a created Superstar’s move set after viewing the model in Community Creations
  • Resolved several issues with Divas entrances
  • Props can now be disabled during entrances
  • Fixed several issues with Custom Soundtracks
  • General stability improvements in Story Designer Mode

It didn't stop me from putting him in a match against Undertaker. Don't know if it'll let me put him in a title match though. The game might go boom if he wins my title tournament.

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't download him earlier when I bought the new guys and now I'm not going to at all.

I've got a triple threat playing right now with Foley, Batista and Savage right now and every time someone hits a big move or goes for a pin there is ridiculous slowdown. I've never had it be this bad pre-patch so I'm hoping it's a one time thing.

First complaint I have is how is the Mandible claw not a submission move? All he does is apply the claw, holds it for a couple of seconds and throws the guy to the mat. Weak.

Last, Macho Man looks godawful. They did a horrible job on his face.

I couldn't put dlc Kane in a title match, a box popped up saying it would have to be non-title only...

Brodus Clay has Macho Man's body slam move, so every time he body slams someone he does Macho Man's twirl.

Servers are definitely worse for me. At least before I knew if they were going to work or not relatively quick. It just spins and spins now.

Yea, and then it connects, unless something is wrong on your end. I had the same thing happen yesterday. You'd sit there a bit, but then I find what I want and I'm on my way to the next thing. No more server unavailable errors.

We had the same issue last night during an online triple threat tables match featuring Foley, Batista, and Flair (the highly rated one from CC, it's quite good). Everything was fine until Flair and Batista morphed through the ring. We had probably two minutes of about half-speed gameplay, one guy quit, and shortly thereafter it returned to normal.

Yeah it's pretty weird about these 'attires'. I guess it's the only way the could add new attires to existing superstars. I'd almost preferred a new character all together (even if it's the same superstar).

The odd thing is that Universe has both 'playercards' momentum set the same. So the system know they are linked somehow...and really, it's just a skin over an existing character....really wish they were interchangeable.

So, in Universe, Christian (E&C attire) has the same momentum level as the 'real' Christian. Same for Kane, and DLC Masked Kane.

I wonder if you win the belt, then bring the 'new attire' one out...what would happen? Probably nothing (as in 'no belt' in entrance, and no title matches as the 'new attire'). Kinda weak. However, I guess that eliminates the issue of DLC Kane coming to interfere with no-mask Kane....Right?....I hope.

Guys, keep posting good and bad post-patch feedback. I'm giving lists to THQ of what everyone is seeing. We'll get a wishlist for WWE '13 started soon as well.

Everything listed in here so far has been compiled and sent to THQ already.

Community Creations has not been fixed. From what I've experienced, the only change they made was increasing the amount of time it takes for the error message to pop up.

They are well aware of that one. Such a sore, huge black eye on the game and series this year.

I don't know whether it's meant to be this way but I was hoping they would sort out the CPU not going for a pin after a finisher, I just had Orton RKO me three times without going for a pin, instead he just kept hitting me on the ground eventually letting me get up and get the win.

Are you playing with the Finisher Strength slider on default? If you max it out they should usually go for the pin.

Thanks for the reply, I hadn't thought to change any of the sliders but i'll be giving that a go tonight.
