While the snow might be piling up across the land (or not), things are heating up at the SCEA studios. Info regarding MLB: The Show 12 is steadily starting to trickle out day by day.

But if you are looking for wholesale changes, look elsewhere. SCEA follows a strict policy of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” This is certainly not a bad thing. Instead of trying to re-invent the wheel, we consistently see building blocks, but this isn’t to say there is no innovation.

I think people have tried both products. I think people has given their money when both games drop. You will do that if you are baseball fan. Both games are baseball and different as h##l.

I personally bought MLB 2K two or three years ago over the Show. I quickly traded it in because I had opened it. I will never buy, download or put a MLB 2k game in my PS3....

Why?
How is 2K's Manage only Mode?

Well that...and the fact that MoM players would probably be looking for the mode to at least exist before making a switch...lol.

How has the online Dynasty mode worked? I know a couple other guys that get The Show so it would be fun to play them in an online league.

They declined last year, not the last two years. And all console sales are up due to price drops and system refreshes.

Still doesn't change my point.

I am excited for this game, I really hope they've revamped the frachise mode though, its been untouched in a long time. One feature i'd like to be in the game is a pre/post game show where they talk about the game before it starts and talks about the pitching matchup and then after the game they talk about the hero of the game and even have interviews. That would be cool

Oh and they should talk about a trade tht might have happened before the game or during the game. Also, they should include highlights of games that happened during the postgame.

I'm guessing that there still isn't gonna be a NBA 2k style trade finder in Franchise mode?

"This year, one of the early features we know about is Pulse Pitching, which is loosely based off of classic pitching. After selecting your pitch, and location, you then press X to start the pitch. A large X on the screen will appear and you must press X again at its smallest point. This is certainly a new and welcome take on pitching in this series."

Sounds to me to be a lot like the pitching in 2K6...

Pulse pitching is rhythmic, so it just oscillates in size from a larger circle to a smaller circle over and over, and you choose to time when you pitch it.

2K6, on the other hand, only shrinks once after slowly growing (when you're choosing how much effort you want to put on the pitch), and you have to time when it shrinks that one time. No continuous oscillation.

They're similar, but not identical.

seems like there could be some way to download our game stories/box scores/rosters/team stats directly to operation sports and other sites ... then it will be a complete game.
