I like how my own roster that I've done myself is more updated than the one they put out.

That's not the most important thing for everyone. Why defend a plain bad decision by 2K? I don't want injuries at all when I play offline, or at the beginning of an Association (whatever happens during an Association is fine). I want correct rosters (personnel wise) with all of the correct player likenesses and that's it. I don't have the time to spend to go through and create missing CAPS so that I can have a roster "without injuries". I also don't always like downloading user-updated rosters, because often times the missing CAPS that people make are eventually replaced by 2k Cyberfaces in roster updates. Not to mention the fixes that 2k incorporates into their roster updates as well. This shouldn't even be an issue, it's so ridiculous it isn't even funny. Just give us both an injured and uninjured roster-set or allow us to turn injuries off/uninjure people.

Those two options satisfy everyone. Is it really that hard? Really?

If there are players you don't want entering your season just move them over to one of the classic teams. The rosters are as current as I could make them. I don't have the 2nd rounders and I don't like CAPs myself. Also, the latest uniforms are included with this roster, I used the 2K living roster as a base roster.
To understand, you have the actual 2K versions of the locked players in the Free Agent pool? How did you unlock them? Also, are injuries on or off?

It's just unfortunate that there will never be one moment this season where the rosters are perfect for Quick Play or Association. Once they added the first-round rookies, they locked the China players. I'm also very concerned about Association years 2+ (Jeff Green and the China players) as well as using full teams in Quick Play with injuries off.

People like to download 2K's roster (get the correct cyberfaces) but then make all of the ratings, accessories, and signature style changes that 2K gets wrong. Wrong jersey numbers, generic shoes, players wearing headbands when they do not in real life, etc. is very frustrating. So we download 2K's roster, then make all the changes. If we pick up a Quick Play game in 3 weeks or whatever, injured players will no longer be injured. We can either download the latest roster and have other wrong information or use a local roster but have outdated injuries.

Injuries on vs. off option seems incredibly easy to implement, and that's why people are upset.

A bit off topic, but I wish 2k would give us the option to turn off injuries like in Madden or better yet a manual injury system like The Show.

So do we get all rookies tomorrow?

# 48 kennyacid @ 12/25/11 08:35 PM
I get why people are mad about the china/ out for the season missing BUT its kinda hard for a basketball game to keep them if they are with a team. Each team is only allowed 15 spots and they are filled with players who are actually playing this year ( well besides the 2nd round rookies as of now). HOWEVER if they add the D league teams offline then they can use that for all the players who wont be playing this season so people can still use them in the game. Until they do that you will continue to get missing players, until they return in real life.

You cant really compare it to Football because they have more roster spots..

Injuries are only an issue in play now games they will be off when you start an association.

Absolute waste of time.

It amazes me how lazy the "2K Insider" is.

So you remove Jeff Green from the game entirely instead of listing him as injured? He'll come back from his heart surgery before Brad Miller returns from his knee surgery. It makes no sense.

No 2nd round rookies.

Hes monitoring "roster movement"? It takes me 5 minutes to know what moves have taken place in the last 5 days. It isnt that damn hard.

This is weak. No 2nd rounders. No Larry Hughes on my Magic. 2k, get your crap together.

I really hope they get the rosters done soon... Not starting an association til it's done

I'm fully aware of this. My major gripe with injuries is being unable to turn them off for play now games like you alluded to.

Suppose LeBron, Melo, KD, DWade, Dwight etc. get injured in real life? 2k will either severally decrease their ratings or make them completely unavailable to play with depending on the severity of the injury.

If you want to get in a play now game with a team that has a major superstar injured you'll be forced to play with a gimped version of that player or no player at all, and that detracts from the overall experience.

At least with the option of turning injuries on/off for play now games you have the ability to decide yourself if you want to stay true to life and keep players injured in real life injured or get that opportunity to play with those players if you turn it off.

2k had this feature for a while, even with previous 2k games..you should have known that they were most likely going to do it again this year. I agree though, there should be an injuries off option.

It's not about being ignored. It's a ridiculous decision for 2K to not give people the option to turn injuries off. Period. I just don't see how people can defend that. If that were some other game, then people would be ripping it for something like this. I just don't understand all of the people defending the "realism" of the whole pre-injured players deal. I shouldn't be forced to have to play with certain players hurt/gimped with no option to turn them off because of "realism". When it comes to Living Rosters, then I can totally understand, but the roster updates that 2K puts out that you can download from 2K share should have the option to turn injuries off. No one is saying the issue is the end of the world, but I just can't understand people arguing against having more options when it comes to roster management, especially such an easy one to implement.

At the end of the day it is, what it is. If they don't want to fix it, I will simply just sell the game, play something else and not support the product next year. There are a ton of other games out that I can divert my attention to right now (I am sure there will be next year as well), so it's no skin off my back either way.

# 60 Bushido @ 12/26/11 02:02 AM
I have living roster option turned on, but my game won't load the up to date rosters anymore. It's been like this over the last two updates from 2k. Any idea why?
