Sorry man... sucks... I was complaining about this game since release and finally have it working pretty good on my side... I am floored as anyone...

While not completely fixed, I have to say I seen more penalties in the game now. Did a quick NYI vs FLA game. Played 2½ periods as I had to run out, but I ended up on 4 PP opportunities (one was a double minor). I ended up with 3 penalties myself..

and bro, I am not trying to be rude, I just don't understand most of what you say, it is like you twist some words around, which is why I said you may use Google Translator... My translation of what I take from your quote above... You liked the cheesy glitch dive where the player dives into the goalie, when in reality it would be an interference call, so you want it back because it would stop "real" NHL from cherry picking in front of the net... Which I still don't get, because cherry picking is being at the opposite end of the ice, on this side of the blue line, awaiting a two line pass, while they "cherry pick" behind the defense who is playing legitiment style hockey trying to cycle the puck...

Playing in front of the net, trying to screen is part of the game, and in the "real NHL" and in the virtual world of NHL12, it is going to happen, a human and cpu dman for that matter can interfere softly with that player, clutching and grabbing, tying him up, so it is a legitiment defense to a screen player...

As for stick effectiveness, and what not for human cpu players... WHAT??? Human cpu players, do you mean human controlled players? And if so, do you play EASHL games? I ask this because people CONSTANTLY stick lift and poke at ease drawing VERY FEW penalties... but you said human cpu again, so I am at a loss at what you are getting at by this... Players are either controlled, or the cpu has control, there is no combination of the two...

OK, this makes more sense but again, this is legitment to screen the goalie.... Cherry picking as you say would not eliminate this, hell, diving at the goalie doesn't either...

Come on now. Right after you rip the other guy for not typing clearly, and you bust that out!

legitment = legitimate ???

LISTEN, I can live with a Penalty Glitch but what I can't stand is the EFFIN GAME FREEZING ISSUE!!!!! FIX THIS NOW!!!!

I have restarted at least 20 times this freakin season and it's getting really old. It got to the point where I wouldn't even play the last period and just let the cpu play for me.

Now that I"m in the playoffs I was just about to win game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals and it froze!!!!!!

So I am right mad now.

LOL....Without the updates I would get a ton of penalties and my game only froze twice in over 30 games (both times after a fight which happened in NHL 11 as well) With the updates virtually no penalties and my game has frozen 3 out of 6 games at various times and twice I could not load my season and had to manually turn off the pS3 and restart.....Not to mention that now if I delete the patch I am no longer getting penalties either. I have to say maybe EA should call the updates a "Virus" instead of a "patch".

I am entering my mid 30's, and have literally bought every EA NHL game that has ever existed. Year in and year out, no matter what system I was currently playing, or if I was "into" games at that point of my life- I ALWAYS purchased NHL Hockey by EA sports. I love hockey, and it was just something I always blindly purchased, and overall it has been more good than bad, in my expierience. I don't need it to mimic the real NHL down to the smallest scale- just give me a game that is fun to play, and is detail oriented.

However, the shine has worn off. I am not saying 12' is a bad game. Its not, I actually find it quite fun(offline, I despise online nowadays). I do see a smaller and smaller effort being put forth on a yearly basis though, and problems not being addressed, and an overall lack of wanting to actually make it a better game, and instead just adding things that don't address core gameplay, and depth, and some that seem to be just absolute cash grabs.

I also feel like the developers are just completely ignoring a very dedicated community, and not hearing they want out of a game(unlike SCEA's MLB team, who do a superb job). In this day and age, thats just unacceptable.

I used to scoff at people who would "boycott" videogame franchises and developers. It just seemed really useless. Now I understand that if I am not part of the solution, I am part of the problem. By just giving EA my 50.00 and 60.00 a year, and just accepting the game and effort put forth, they will never change, or address whats truly wrong with the game. So for the first time in my life, I will not be purchasing an EA Sports NHL game in 2012. Unless I hear a month or two after release that its a solid effort, I will be playing MLB 2012. I love hockey, but I will just stick with this years game for my fix, until something comes along worth buying.
This ! That ! ...and THIS again. Couldn't have said it better. Caved in, and bought NHL 12 a few weeks after release because I needed my hockey fix, and had already return NHL 11. I'm sticking with this game next year...not buying NHL 13.

Game is sooo much fun. However, lack of penalties is a major issue for many as you can see. I have penalties all the way to the max and I was hoping that the more penalties I took, the computer would be just as aggressive. NOPE! Soooooo close to being a great game

In time these guys will get it. This game needs a MAJOR presentation overhaul though. Right now it is pretty much bottom of the barrel. I know it is a small team though.
