2k's explanations about the rookies make no sense. Last night they said they were adding rookies by importance not when they signed. Well, Jan Vesely was drafted 5th. Enes Kanter was drafted 3rd. Both signed contracts on Friday. Neither are in the game.

I know they are coming but I wish 2k was a little more honest about what it takes to add them into the game. There are very few unsigned rookies remaining now and many of them are already on the disk. People aren't complaining about rookies like Shelvin Mack who may not make the team. These are top 5 picks.

The players just took their official photos last Friday. Kind of hard to get them in the game this quick.

DW rated 70 is a bit low considering faried is 71 or something like that also walker is a little high at 76. I am just excited to see iman shumpert ratings... And hey 2k tyson chandler is wearing number 6. Fields has number 2 reunited from his college years. Personally the game pics dont bother me i think they look great and real i wouldnt mind all of the pictures to be like this

I keep getting: "There are no files available at this time. Please check back later." When I go to download the Official 2k Roster from 2kshare

THE ROOKIE PHOTOS ARENT EVEN ON THEIR PROFILE?

IS THIS SOME KIND OF JOKE?

We wait all this time and they give us rookies with cartoon faces????????

I am PISSED OFF

I am pleased with the way 2K is doing the roster. Cause if they rush, people will be complaining about something ain't right, in this way they have a chance to make the right adjustments. Truly see too much complaining to the point of player pictures to player numbers( numbers can be edited ourselves) give a little time and feel everyone will be satisfied (well u can't please everyone.. impossible) 2K great game hands down in my opinion.

^this
the most frustrating thing is i cant even begin to edit the roster (rating, accessories, shoes, etc) due to the fact that it would be a waste of time because of multiple rosters updates that will come and add sporadic little things that should have been complied into one true roster update like the rookies IMO.... game is becoming more frustrating than enjoyable for me be the min

So stop and come back when the season starts.

I know this is common sense but I thought I would offer it anyway since you seem to be overlooking this.

C'mon Aaron - even you know the process.

X Player signs said paper - it still goes to the league for approval. Since 2k deals with the league, not when the media writes a story, they are obviously handcuffed here.

The only way they would be able to get around having these players in at all before it is approved by the league would be if they signed small contracts with each player - which I believe only EA has done and that was with players that were previously on the cover of their NCAA game.

So just because you read in said paoer X player was signed - doesn't mean it was approved and ratified through the league.

This is so damn hilarious, did you guys not just read Pared paragraph?

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE ROOKIES ARE SIGNED OR NOT, IT STILL HAVE TO BE APPROVED BY THE NBA BEFORE THEY'RE IMPLEMENTED INTO THE GAME. ONCE THEY'RE APPROVED, 2K CAN PUT THEM IN THE GAME.

I do but thats not whats happening here. Vesely signed his contract on Friday. I didnt read it. I have a friend who works in the Wizards who confirmed it when I saw him Saturday. He's in camp. He's practicing. Now I'll give 2k a pass because the contract was maybe not ratified by the NBA on Friday. But the contract was ratified this wknd.

So Vesely should be in the game on Monday, right? Especially if all they have to do is flip a switch (those are 2k's words not mine) and add him to a roster.

They are adding rookies by priority. The better known rookies/higher picks will make it into the game first. Ronnie suggested as much yesterday in a tweet.

I mean by the looks of it we should be getting updates every other day in this free agency period. So whats the big deal? I'm not starting my Associastion until all of the rookies get in which by the looks of it will probably be sometime late next week. Remember with preseason games starting on Friday 2k will be rolling out with rookies. And then people will be waiting for a Hex roster. We are fortunate to have even gotten a update today.

But Nolan Smith to be a 71 is to high. And Derrick Williams to be the same a Faried is laughable. But that's what editing is for.

Well, with the rate 2k is going, we're going to see him earlier than Monday. We should get a few more roster updates this week.

The NBA offices are not open on the weekend. That is where they have to get word from. Unless things have changed since my father left (~5 yrs ago) then the earliest the NBA would be able to look over the information is Monday.

Add in normal business time where your contact at the NBA doesn't reply to emails or doesn't/can't get you the correct information fast enough and that kills the entire day Monday. It's only Tuesday morning. I'm sure they'll get the information today and it will probably be in the next roster update if the NBA forwards them the correct information.

I just don't see the conspiracy theories here. I've had to deal with individuals that are lax at their job. I believe that can be the case here since every single developer mentions things like this at times. These guys want to update this information as soon as they can. What benefit do they get from holding off?
