Sure would be nice if people who got this game on release day or before this price drop got something as well like 20 bucks worth of MS Points or PSN vouchers...............Oh well..cool for those who held out this long.

Sucks for those who bought it day 1

Very questionable choice of players for the trailer (Random), when I think about reasons why I'm glad basketball is back, Demar Derozan, Chase Budinger and Wesley Johnson do not come to mind. and I'm kinda upset I paid full price now..

Wow.....Derozan getting some love in that vid.

This should help those sales numbers.

I didn't pay a cent for either of my copies of 2K12 thanks to trade-in deals, so I'm not bothered by this, as 2K typically drops the price of its games to $39.99 after a few months. It's a smart move, something I wish EA would do. I recall seeing NHL 11, new, for full price a week before 12 was released.

They must be desperate for sales.

No more desperate than Gears 3, BF3, or Arkham City that were going for anywhere from 29.99-39.99 on Black Friday(That ticked me off too since I dropped 60 on those too.).

No more desperate than anything that relies on the popularity of the NBA as a revenue stream.

You have to give a little to get a little.

# 13 HELLisFUN @ 12/08/11 11:44 PM
This was going for $35 on Black Friday (or maybe it was Saturday after Friday). $39 is a good deal.

Considering basketball season is back, why not entice consumers into an impulse buy. $60 seems a bit much IMO.

They'll be added to 2K12 as they officially sign their contracts.

I'd be very interested to know what settings they'll be using for these simulation games (everything, like difficulty, sliders etc.) if I understand what they're doing correctly.

The Black Friday deals are different monsters totally as companies lose $$ on a few items just to get people in the store and spend more elsewhere in there. Selling NBA 2k12 @ $39 but, then you buy the Xbox and a controller and another game @$59.99 they made a total sale of $330 so they made some good $$. With this I think some stores are hurting with all these extra copies of the game getting dusty in the back room

# 18 iceberg760 @ 12/09/11 04:34 PM
Walmart.com.....buy it for $29.99..pick up @ store in 4hrs.....

As a day 1 buyer I'm not compalining at all. I've enjoyed this game for the past 2 months... i would say I got my 20 bucks extra worth.

# 20 erickonasis @ 12/09/11 05:32 PM
