Tiger 13 News Post

According to a recent article from Owen Good, over at Kotaku, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 will include an entire feature on the legacy of Tiger Woods and the impact he's had on the world of golf.

Quote:
"Tiger is still the masthead of our game," Craig Evans, EA Sports' director of marketing for the Tiger Woods series, told me. "His name's on it, he's still pictured on it. We're also building out an entire feature in the game [meaning Tiger Woods 13] on the legacy of Tiger Woods and the impact he's had on the world of golf."

"It's an amazing departure from what we've done in the past," Evans promised. "It's going to strike you, 'Why didn't they do something like that earlier?' Really, there's no good answer why we didn't do it earlier."

What are your thoughts on what they might be implementing?

Unfortunately, it sounds like yet another single player feature.

I wish for the life of me this game had multi-player season mode. Or at least create-a-tournament. Not just basic stroke play.

If you are American, you should be ashamed of yourself. Your inability to grasp the English language is shining through in this post.

My guess is that you'll get to play as Tiger at different points in his career, in historical situations. I have zero interest in this, but if it somehow helps them sell games... then knock themselves out.

I'm much more interested in their quietly announced swing mechanic change coming for Tiger 13. Supposedly, this new swing mechanic is going to require proportionally more tempo and rhythm control as the difficulty level is increased. This is about 6 years overdue, IMO, and is the main reason I'm more pumped for this year's version than any other!

I agree with Seymour, they need to put more effort into the career mode and making it seem more like a dynamic event, with real personalities involved. I can't make myself plod through it, even though I need some of the career mode achievments to get some of the equipment I want!?

I'm an XBox 360 and PS3 owner. I should be excited about the fact that the 360 version will include Kinect support, but in all honesty, after experiencing the Move in Tiger 12.... I'll reserve judgement. I honestly don't see how they can accurately translate body, arm, and wrist movement with the Kinect and have it produce a believable result on screen. I have learned that you can hold a club, or a another object similar to the weight and feel of a club when swinging in the Kinect interface. That will help a lot with the way it feels, but I just have doubts about what kind of precision they can get out of tracking the wrists in particular.

This was probably like one the of the most requested features...kind of like how goalie fighting in was NHL 12 (sarcasm)
