Reel Steel News Post

I wouldn’t blame anyone for passing on Real Steel, based simply on its description. It’s a game based on a movie. It’s a cheap(er) XBLA title that’s gotten little fanfare. It’s also made by Yukes, a company known primarily for wrestling, and occasional, children's games.

Yet despite these ingredients, Real Steel is a fun arcade boxer with an unusual theme and lots of customization options.

I played the demo about a week or so ago....thought it was a lil fun, but didn't wanna waste my ms points on ANOTHER arcade game that I'd play for 10-20 mins tops and never play again.....if this game would have dropped sooner, when there wasn't many games out.....it may have got a download from me and maybe several others.....but with all the new titles dropping, I don't see this game getting any playing time....

When I played the demo, it feels just an average kiddie robot boxing game. But after watching the movie, funnily, the demo became a good game to me. Right now I'm having second thoughts whether I'd download this one or not. I kinda like the game but I hate the way you have to pay extra money to upgrade your character when it should be free. A deal breaker.

the game's pretty decent for the price, but having to pay to upgrade your character blows......i wish i would've known this before buying the game.
