Sweet. So glad they're still supporting this game. An iinterior view to all cars even if its simplified.

What about tracks? I thought the game was going to receive something like 12 more tracks to race on?

There is going to be DLC track and car packs, in addition to the Spec 2.0; http://www.gtplanet.net/gt5-spec-2-0...w-tracks-more/

Smart move by Sony to release a huge update concomitant with Forza 4. I would have liked in game saves for 20 lap races too, but oh well....

what the game also needs is some mechanism to add drama/life to the Offline races. Something like a rivalry system, a career mode (year by year), a wagering system or $ penalties for damaging your car during a race.

Mid-Race Save is the highlight of that.

Because there was no chance I was leaving my PS3 on for 24 hours before.

There was some confusion by the web sites, but yes, 10/11 it lands.

The release date for 2.0 has also been set for October 11th, as confirmed by the PlayStation Blog.
Not sure I really care for this interior view, but I guess its better than nothing.

I hope there are a good number of new tracks included in the DLC pack. A change of scenery will be nice.

Ah that explains it. I haven't played the game in a while and when I put it in I did get an update, obviously an older update. DOH!

Uhhhhh...

I suppose there's a difference between imagining an interior view to be standard, and seeing a wheel-less realm of blackness with a couple of analog dials.

Yeah, LOL! That does look bad. They probably could have done a bit more there.
