NBA 2K12 Developer Conference Call -- Listen to it All!

On Wednesday, Operation Sports had a chance to be a part of the NBA 2K12 Conference Call with producer Erick Boenisch and lead gameplay designer Mike Wang.

The two covered pretty much anything and everything from the game, minus the highly anticipated announcements of online and association. However it was mentioned an online association insight will be coming by Thursday.

RIGHT ON!!! lmbo! Good to know that they can update things like the court, uniforms, hair, and even sneakers. 2K is raising the bar REALLY HIGH!!!! How can another company come out with another sports game below this level let alone another basketball game below this level without having the same or better technology as they do!

I mean I listened to the first half hour and then skimmed the rest. Overall 2K has set a standard for not just the basketball genre but for the entire sports genre. Initially 2k seemed to be the only company that took the fans voice and reproduce it through it's in-game production. Thanks to 2KSports for giving us our money worth every year.
P.S. We now know that at least for 2K we are paying 60$+tax for the improvements we see the next year in the game,

From what I have seen out of other sports games I have to agree; although I play 2k more than any other sport games so changes are more noticeable to me. Playing madden 12 I don't understand how I am still complaining and experiencing problems that I noticed over 3 years ago, not to mention the feel of the game hasn't changed slightly over the years.
When I was reading impressions after the demo dropped, for 2k, I couldn't believe some people were saying the game didn't feel much different than 2k11. My initial reaction was "have you played some of these other sports games that look and play nearly identical to their previous installment (in some cases previous 2/3 installments)?" nba2k games have their flaws and they've had their off years, like any games, but I never get the feeling that they "slacked" off for a year. If they have a bad year it's usually because they changed things for the worse not because they were lazy.
