NBA 2K12 News Post

Da_Czar checks in with a report for Sim Nation. Check out his most recent article, discussing how he helped the NBA 2K12 team with an assist from the OS community.

Quote:
Before I left for 2K I combed through OS and 2K's forums and read, started or inquired into already established threads about what the Nation was interested in. It was fun as well as challenging to solicit feedback from those who had no idea they might end up contributing directly to the making of NBA 2K12.

Some leaped at the chance unknowingly, to their own benefit. While others, amazingly, passed on the opportunity like Rondo does open jumpers at crunch time.

While I can’t and won’t say what all has been added or adjusted to the game as a direct result of your input and analysis. I will say this. Practically everything I had on my list was either already worked on, fixed on the spot, or improved upon as much as was possible at that stage in the development cycle.

This is fantastic, fantastic news. You got the opportunity i used to dream about.
It wasn't a selfish dream. I just knew about ways to improve the game so it could become more of a simulation.
It now has become a reality because the community is helping shape the game and one of us(Da Czar) was recruited into the board of directors. lol
Much props to 2k for believing in the Sim community and having the same vision, and also for caring about the fans.

Props to you Da Czar for your knowledge and dedication to Sim basketball. You're work is paying off and we all should be grateful.
October 4th is a day to rejoice Sim Citi!

Let's face it 2K really listens to their fanbase, and Hardcore gamers; As for EA, they dont listen to nobody but their shareholders who are not gamers at all, just walking wallets$.

My two cents,
cheers

yeah this preview collision detection reports got me excited...but apparently im the sucker now....

i mean, really, a spinmove through another players chest??? i can do with some limb clipping (though i really hate that too) but body through body? its ridiculous....

Changed my outlook Czar. Everything you said and everything else I hear sounds like they really put community input first.

Good read and good luck with the new site.

What was your outlook before? Just because things may not make it into the game doesn't mean they weren't listening.

There's a reason OS is listed in the game's credits.

It's supposed to be the NBA Elite logo, judging by the image name.

Czar should have made it to the commentary team. I'd rather listen to him.
