In many ways, Madden NFL Football is the most anticipated, discussed and debated game in our genre each and every year.

The lead up to Madden NFL 12 has brought a new wave of optimism for the series, as many issues fans have had with the series were promised to be fixed, tuned or tweaked. In many ways, the Madden team has accomplished their goals of moving the series forward. Unfortunately, those expecting a return to greatness for the series are going to be disappointed.

Also, this is the best game rating I have ever seen here at OS. I feel that it is a fair and accurate view of what Madden NFL 12 really is. Madden 12 is a good game, but I still have a hard time enjoying it fully the more I play it. And yes, the commentary is probably the worst I've ever heard in a football game.

Competition begets great products. Without it, we have Madden 12. With it, we have Battlefield 3, FIFA, and FORZA 4.

If insanity is doing the same things and expecting different results, then EA Tiburon is a lunatic asylum. I was interested in Madden 12 until I played the demo. Sure it's slicker than 11, but it just feels... disconnected I mean, I feel disconnected from the gameplay. Then there are the same old flaws. Not to mention making Franchise worse than it was.

Compare with NHL 11. It's crazy intense, and at the end of each close game I feel exhausted. Then there is the franchise mode. I've played for a year and am still learning all the options. I'll ignore NHL 12 for now as I haven't bought it.

The fact is, NHL 11 is a far more involving experience last year than Madden 12 is today. And it seems will be better than Madden 13, perhaps 14 will be.

I'm much more of a football fan than a hockey fan, but not so much that I'm willing to tolerate work-arounds than a geniune game. I'll spend this year worrying about whether NHL 12 is worth $60 bucks more than 11.

i will say this once.been playing madden since day one,joe montana fb before that,gameday,3do football,seen
a disturbing video.a gentleman built a team ,put quarterbacks likepeton ma,tom bra,drew brees,m hasselbeck,and another qb on THE OFFENSIVE LINE AND PLAYED THE BALTIMORE RAVENS FOR A
FULL GAME AND THESE QUARTERBACKS DOMINATED NGATA,RAY RAY AND THE BOYS, NO SACKS

RATINGS MEEN NOTHING AND THERE IS NO EXCUSE AND NOTHING EA CAN SAY.
PLEASE DO US A FAVOR EA AND CANCEL THE SERIES AND RELINQUISH THE LICENSE.DONE WITH IT.EA YOU MY FRIENDS ARE GARBAGE,TAKING PEOPLES MONEY.
