Quick thoughts on the Bills.
Fred Jackson seems a bit low
Why on earth is Shawn Nelson so high? He as never done anything
Seems like Chris Hairston is a bit high for a 5th rd pick. Kelvin Sheppard and Da'Norris Searcy should be higher than him IMO.
I think Merriman is too high and Moats is too low

For the Dolphins, it's disgusting how low Bess' rating is. Apparently they haven't watched a dolphins game ever, I don't blame them, but still.

He has like one of the best catch ratings and route running ratings in the game. What more do you want? He isn't a #1 WR but he still has ridiculous hands and runs routes ridiculously well.

Just a valid guess!
From what I've read and how I've interpreted everything, these are the day 1 player ratings but the roster moves will be updated. So the team they play for will be different, but the ratings won't.

Alright as far as overalls are concerned...
Overrated-
Shawn Nelson
Poz (slightly)
Kelsay
Keith Ellison
Whitner
Bart Scott (slightly)

Underrated-
Roscoe
Donald Jones (slightly)
Fred Jackson
Demetrius Bell (slightly)
Arthur Moats (slightly)
Kelvin Sheppard (slightly)
Kyle Williams (slightly)
Alex Carrington (slightly)
Torrell Troup (slightly)
George Wilson (slightly)

Most of this is nitpicking but as an avid follower it seems necessary. And how in the Hell is Freddie worse than Ronnie Brown and even with Ricky Williams!!! Fun Fact time! in the 2nd half of the season (when Freddie actually was starting) he was 6th amongst all RBs in rushing yards. 80 overall, how did he get worse??? I definitely will be making changes as I see fit

I wish they had their potential ratings included...

And, there, gentlemen, is why the stretched ratings thing is not like what it used to be. Everybody and their momma thinks Donny Moore has it out for their team and is under-rating everyone.

Haha the players I had underrated slightly were off by 1 or 2 OVR points tops. But I understand where you are going with it. I don't think he is out for us, it's more like he is uneducated on our team. My proposal would be to split up the job of ratings into a committee. Have 1 ratings person per division and have everyone on the same page on what each individual rating means and how it translates. Then players will have a better chance at being more accurate. Just an idea though...

I feel like they should have waited, and just given us full team ratings when Donny locks in the first roster update in a few weeks...but you can't NOT show the new Madden ratings. This is meh to me, I'll still check them out but I know I'll never use them.

Was actually surprised with the ratings...seeing Poz at 87 is very debatable, however. Not surprised to see Kyle Williams in the 90's, however. He deserves every bit of that rating for the great performances he's put up on this sub-par defense over the past few seasons. Otherwise, I think there's going to be some great potential ratings for the Bills in Franchise, especially for Dareus, Aaron Williams and Kelvin Sheppard.

Also, you can faintly see the Bills endzone in that Evans screenshot, and from that, it looks like the Bills' new blue endzones didn't make it in this year. Oh, well. :/

Anyone notice how low Vontaes coverage ratings are?

Should do what Sports Interactive do with Football Manager, they have fans of the team do the ratings, then during Beta they tweak them based on feedback in the forums.

Obviously you need to choose the 'scout' wisely but it seems to work as FM is the best football (ok soccer!) management sim out there.

Sean Smith was arguably better than Vontae last season. he'll get a boost

# 18 aaronrodgers012 @ 08/01/11 11:41 PM
Anyone see Vonta Davis' coverage stats?

# 19 menglish20 @ 08/02/11 07:57 AM
For the Bills:
Overrated:
Brian Moorman (not as good or as fast as EA thinks)
Defensive ends

Underrated:
Basically everyone else slightly, but notably:
Offensive line
Corners
Lower tier WR
Lindell (slightly)

These ratings are actually not terrible (OVR wise). The Bills seem to get the bad team bonus.

Yeah that's how I feel too. We didn't get majorly screwed over or anything it just seems like a general underrated feeling but it's understandable coming off of a 4 win season. Once they start kicking it in gear and showing their worth there should be some nice boosts.
