Misleading title. The game is $59.99 with a $20 dollar amazon credit rewarded after your purchase. No different than the umpteen deals that Amazon does, just like this.

It's a pretty good deal for people like me who order from Amazon all the time. I will definitely be taking advantage of this.

Ya, updated the title. I read it wrong.

I'm not saying it's not a deal. It's just not a bargain price, like it was originally titled.

looks like you have to buy the game for 59.99 and than you get 20 credit for a new game, dosent look like you can use the 20$ for the same game..

The code to access the exclusive content will be emailed to you the day your order ships.

So you pay 59.99 but its not 39.99, they give you the

The promotional credit will be added directly to your Amazon.com account within two days after your order ships...

You put the NHL 12 quote in there instead of Madden 12 quote.

If you preordered NCAA, you'll have $20 in your account already, which would make Madden $40.

Madden is $45 straight up at Walmart. I'm not buying it but just for anyone who doesn't know, there you go.

As sweet as this deal is (I've done it quite a bit with Amazon so I'm familiar with it), I still can't trust Madden or any other sports' game to buy it on Day 1. There's always something wrong with it. It takes nearly 3-4 months for 2 patches to come out to fix a sports game, then I can make a decision on whether to buy it or not.

I haven't been this tempted to buy a Madden in five years!

Toys R Us, $44.99 plus free shipping pre-order...

# 16 greenegt @ 07/27/11 11:08 AM
I already have my pre-order in at Amazon. Can't beat 'em.

# 17 marshallfever @ 07/27/11 11:59 AM
Hummm for some reason my order is different, the it seems as if they subtracted the $20 from the Madden purchase because the ending bill balance is $40.98 for release date shipping in my order.

# 18 Panicshade @ 07/27/11 12:00 PM
this will be my first Madden purchase in a couple years (skipped 11) and I may try some online. If I see any of you there try not to run the score up too bad on me...lol

so at what point with every retailer offering 15/20 dollars off, does the price of video games just become 40/45 bucks and we stop calling these deals?

It is a beautiful system they have going. Claim retail is $60, but ALWAYS offer it at a "discount" so the consumer thinks they are getting a good deal.

# 20 Spanky @ 07/27/11 12:15 PM
Just pre-ordered from Amazon for a total of $40.98, plus a $20 credit toward a future purchase.

I applied the $20 credit I had for NCAA 12 (man, I hope they fix that mess through a patch). Plus, I got same-day shipping for 99 cents (you'll get it on the 30th) and no tax.

Hard to beat that deal.

Now, let's just hope Madden 12 doesn't turn out to be a bug-filled fiasco a la NCAA 12. If it is, I get what I deserve for pre-ordering.
