Madden 12 News Post

Jon Robinson of ESPN The Gamer takes us through the team overall ratings for the AFC North in Madden NFL 12.

Cincinnati Bengals: 71
The second lowest-rated team in "Madden 12," but that shouldn't stop gamers from playing as Cincinnati as this is a team built on receivers who can fly with A.J. Green, Chad Ochocinco, Jordan Shipley, and Jerome Simpson all rated 88 or higher in terms of overall speed.

Cleveland Browns: 74
Peyton Hillis is not only on the cover this year, he's a beast in the game with a 91 overall, 99 toughness and 99 trucking. Talk about a one-man wrecking crew.

Baltimore Ravens: 86
Led by Ed Reed (98 overall), Ray Lewis (95 overall), and Haloti Ngata (97 overall), the Ravens have one of the hardest-hitting defenses in "Madden 12." Ray Rice and his 90 speed should be able to carry the offense, when you're not throwing across the middle to Todd Heap, that is.

Pittsburgh Steelers: 90
The second highest-rated team in the game thanks in part to the dangerous combination of Ben Roethlisberger's 94 throwing power and Mike Wallace's blazing 98 speed. Add to that the 99 overall of former cover athlete Troy Polamalu and you have a team that can do some serious polygonal damage.

Haha I think it's funny how Robinson says a receiver with an 88 speed can fly (See Bengals).

I think Suggs should be in the 90's too. If not then he got snubbed IMO.

I would tend to agree. For some reason he gets lost in the shuffle.

I'm sure he's in the 90s. No way he can't be.

I'm pretty sure he's rated in the 90's, just the low 90's and when you talk about the Ravens the first names that come to mind is Reed,Lewis, and Ngata who are all a clear cut best at their position or in Lewis case, Top 3. I honestly feel Suggs should be the same as Woodley was last year which is a 95 Overall b/c Suggs is not only a beast of a pass rusher and add to the fact that he has no one opposite of him that's a threat to rush the QB so he gets double teamed and chip blocked a lot, but he is a beast against the run also.

Not to get too far off topic but I'm guessing they will have JJ rated around 80 Ovr and McClain rated in the mid to high 70's. Cody will be mid 70's and Redding will be 79-80 Ovr.

I might start a rebuild dynasty with Cincy now.

Y'all forgetting the real reason Ravens will be used a lot. Someone with a low rating but high value

Even without that player you are talking about, they still will be the team I use the most and they have more than that one player that's rated low with high value on the team that you are referring to.

Right on the money, Tyrod Taylor fastest QB in the draft.

Can't wait to play my Bengals Franchise, maybe it will be somewhat of a challenge to rebuild them.

Pretty Good ratings, I see the browns if they nabb some FA (Jackson, Holmes)and get some trades (Osi) could be an 80 this year.
